Do you not remember 18? You know the game where you had to turn in 1000 hats, 1000 jerseys and hit 1000 doubles in order to unlock one card...oh and you had to do that with a common level card

Well. TS 19 was the best selling baseball game ever and 20 has crushed that so. Multi platform starts next year. Which all means, they will get to the issues when they get to them. Money Trumps all. Plus got to cut some slack with the whole limited office work especially in parts of California with this mess going on.
I dont think pitching is any worse than last year and hitting is WAY better and more rewarding for good input.Pitching is for sure worse than last year.
Or is it worse because hitting is more rewarded? Not saying pitching is good... but I'm not sure contextually speaking it's "worse"
Well, for me it is definitely worse.
In my entire year of ranked last year, I walked 92 batters. So far this year, I have already walked 75 in less than half the innings.
All the other stats show it as well. ERA, WHIP, batting average against.
Now could I just be having a bad year? Sure.
Well, the walks I think are due to the non-calls on the corners so in that instance, I guess you could say that part of pitching is worse then last year. More people are taking those pitches because they don't get called.
As for the other stats, they would all be explained by more rewarding hitting.
I don’t think the hitting is more rewarded any more. I think it is more random since 1.04.
Hitting has become more random since 1.04, but it is still more rewarding then 2019, those things don't have to be mutually exclusive, they both can be true.
I'm still hitting well over .800 on perfect/perfects, you can't say that about any hitting feedback from 2019. There was a reason the SDS twitch chat only said "good/squared" in 2019. Because good/squared was a joke.
My hitting stats are pretty similar to last year, so I think I’m definitely getting hurt by the pitching more than this year’s hitting is rewarding me.
I’ve no doubt that I’m a better hitter, but you wouldn’t know it from the numbers. I’m still just average at best.

See, that's just making a bunch of assumptions though. You are looking at stats without giving them context. That doesn't "prove" that hitting is less rewarding than 2019. Because there is also more swing and miss in the game, whereas in 19, you could foul off way more pitches, which gave you way more opportunities to get hits than you probably did not deserve.
And I don't mean that as an insult, it's the same for me, It was so easy to not strikeout in 2019, which lead me to counts where I got a hit when I should have struck out 3 pitches ago.
So even if the averages are similar, it doesn't mean 2019 was more rewarding. I'd say having around the same average as 19 still proves you are a better hitter/ getting more rewarded.

This is easily the worst game they’ve made and it’s not close. From fielding to pitching, to hitting you name it it’s a disgrace. I have no idea why they released this game with so many bugs. Sad because this is the only form of baseball right now.
Go back and play 18 and come back and say that game is better. Spoiler, you won't.
They’re both trash. 19 was miles ahead of this joke of a game
No thanks, I don't want to line out 50% of the time again.

Better not hit liners in this game then.
I went back and played 19 a few weeks ago and it was much more fun than this [censored].

Yeah, that is how I am looking at it. Having similar numbers this year tells me that I have improved, for the reasons you mention.
I still think the pitches on the edges need to be called. I face a fair amount of hitters that can’t hit the pitchers’ pitches but are just auto-taking until I miss with one.
Some of us just have great plate discipline, but some of us are being helped out by the pitching big time.

Someone having fun or not is 100% an opinion. Yes.

19 was the best. 20 is not what I was hoping for after such a great year for the game in 19...sad!
