Chipper Jones

How much of an issue has his lousy fielding rating been for you? I'm hesitant to pick him because I don't want to totally screw over my defense, but offensively he's a massive upgrade over what I've got now.

Would it even matter if he had gold fielding? Not in this game.

If he could play 1st I would definitely take him, but I think I am leaning towards Victorino, but my mind may change and go back to Chipper.

His height at third is a plus. He's definitely not Hanley over there so his rating is high enough to make the routine plays. Only place he will really hurt you is on those balls moving to his right throwing back across the diamond. Most of the time unless <40 speed the batter is going to beat those out vs Chipper.

He’s been an absolute monster for me the first 3 games, put him in left field till he’s prestiged then put him at 3rd when he gets silver fielding. Chipper will be a great hitting card for quite a while.

Wow. I can’t believe a hall of famer is really good!

Diamonds are sh!tting the bed so does it really matter what the fielding ratings are?

In the infield, yes. There is definitely a noticeable difference between a diamond and silver fielder in the infield. Outfield not so much but even then Buxton gets to a whole lot of balls that Reggie Jackson wouldn’t even if fielding was perfect

Speed is the primary reason Buxton gets to those balls over Reggie IMO

Just picked him up and he is an absolute beast, last game on hall of fame he went an absolute ridiculous 5-7 2 Bombs 2 doubles and a perfect perfect single... 16 inning game hits the 2 run yicketty ( Braves fans will understand ) cards a glitch plain and simple
Your "glitch" swing may be impossible for someone else. It's hysterical when people say certain cards are glitches. I think Brandon Marsh is a glitch but other people will say they cannot hit with him. I love his swing and I love Craig biggio swing. Some people can't hit with either of them. I hate Sheffield swing but other people love it. There is no such thing as a glitch when it comes to swings unless we're talking about Corey seager in MLB 17. That was an effing glitch!
I miss that Seager card! Wow

I use Hanley at third a LOT and I don't think he's booted one ball.

I just got to use Chipper last night when I attempted 3rd inning showdown. The guy absolutely raked. He almost single handidly won each challenge for me. Hit a dinger in the first four challenges that I was able to use him. Went deep in final showdown and hit a double 2nd time up. I went in to beat the showdown. Was the most enjoyable showdown experience I’ve had thanks to him.
