Mlb the Sinker 20

Fastballs are meat. As usual, instead of fixing the problem with the game they resolved the issue by giving everyone a sinker to substitute for the fastball.
-
Hey that’s not fair! They gave everyone a slurve too!
-
Haha my favorite is Chapman having a sinker. Don’t know when he developed that since I watch every Yankee game.

Bad sign when instead of trying to fix a problem, they just give you cheese to "balance" the problem.

Been throwing one for a few years.

Reading the thread, I felt like this was an old Oprah episode. Here, you get a sinker, you get a sinker, and you get a sinker. Everybody gets a sinker.
Not sure every pitcher has a sinker in the game. You are correct about it being a little op.
-
Pitchers which sinkers IRL are usually called “sinkerballers”. Since they’re not very common. In this game if you have a sinker you’re called “not useless”.
-
If you said MiLB the Sinker you would have hit it dead on.

As a Yankee fan who has watched a LOT of Yankee baseball o can confidently say that Chapman does not throw a sinker, certainly doesn't throw a mid-90s sinker, and DEFINITELY doesn't throw a mid-90s sinker AND 2-seamer
-
Personally, I think SDS doesn't know anything about baseball. They got the jobs through connects and are clueless about baseball in general. Not just chapman but with other live series players too. The stats just don't match up and/nor make any sense.

Agreed, max muncy has better power than Bryce Harper

I am not trying to be a [censored], your post piqued my interest so I looked it up. Chapman threw 98 sinkers in 2019.

Chapman since 2014 has thrown 214 sinkers at an average speed of 101 MPH.

True, but he does not throw a 2seam, but they refuse to give him a Changeup which he does throw more often

So you're entire argument is basically "the internet says it so it must be true"? As someone who has watched thousands of innings of Yankee baseball I can tell you (along with others who actually watch the games) that he does not throw a sinker -

Well done Owl. Sometimes clouding the issues with facts “ruffles some feathers” if you know what I mean (sorry not sorry for the pun). Kept it classy. Remember, Yankees fans only see their players through pinstriped glasses and only worry about pointing out their rings from the past. I mean seriously, they also think Jeter “earned” all those gold gloves because of his superior defense. Yikes. Lol
