What Could Make The Show More Realistic
-
-
Bring Back the "Gameday Promotion" feature and have different choices such as Bobble heads (When you pick Bobble head or any promo that your players can be involved in then your players list comes up and you pick the Players Jersey, Bobble head, Etc. For that games promo), Jersey, Future game tickets, T-shirts, $1 hot dog, Bat Give away, Hat give away, (If you win the world series) Replica Ring giveaway, Team Calendar, ball giveaway, Family Ticket/food deal, Rally Towel in the post season, post game fireworks, or have a list of classic players and pick 1 or 2 that can do a signing,Etc.
-
Bring back the buisness side of it such as TV/Radio Deals, Ticket Pricing, Parking Prices, food Pricing, merch pricing, Sponsorships, types of food you buy players (can increase or decrease morale), Stadium renovations (Add/remove seats, New Scoreboard, Grass/lawn/ (makes it easier/harder on players to play on), training room upgrades, Stadium restaurant/services upgrades (draws in more fans), player training services (help increase attributes
-
Ejections. Kinda like the NCAA games based on how many times and how fast you can repeatedly press the X button is how mad you get and if you get mad enough and stay out long enough you get tossed. Should be done for Players and Coaches
-
Bench clearing brawls it doesn't have to show punches being thrown just the players running into the group where it just looks like pushing and shoving
-
Do Training like training is done in the NBA 2K series, schedule practices and what will be worked by each position that day. it'd easier, faster, and alot more fun than having to do EVERY SINGLE PLAYER in your entire organization
-
If the rights can be purchased use more broadcast types than Just MLB Network. Use ESPN, FS1, FSN, any of the local channel's, or if possible use all the teams actual channel's (I.E Oakland Athletics CSNBA) which would Tie in to the TV deal feature
-
Better relocation feature. It makes no sense to have a relocation feature but you're gonna play in an already used stadium? Isn't that the point of moving is a new stadium? Make it to where you have to make deals with the city to move or rebuild your stadium in your current city.
-
Just cause its so important it needs it own, CREATE-A-STADIUM. This is probably the MOST asked for feature and "The Show" has failed to provide. Make it in depth. Yiu get a budget to rebuild or relocate and make a new stadium for your team. The budget would go towards Seating, Capacity, building design, how many/what/where concession stands will go, How Many/What/Where will merch stands be, How Many bathrooms and how nice is it and what amenities does it have?, Parking, Training facility for players, Medical Facility for players, Design the Clubhouse for players (however it is and whatever you do will affect Player, Coaches, and staffs morale)
-
Make the Televised games more realistic with better cut scenes such as Player and coaches actual interviews (give create-a-player a feature where you can pick his voice so he can talk too im Franchise mode) shoe them coming out of the clubhouse and Show them warming up for a few minutes (if people dont want to see this they can just skip or put on Hybrid mode) do post game interviews for player of the game, show the players walking back to clubhouse after game, signing autographs for fans (with an actual pen in their hand unlike all the tine when something gets "signed" during a mini cut scene the player doesnt have a one), also do Press conferences where you can talk as a GM, Coach, or player and whatever you say effects everything from Clubhouse Morale to fan attendance
-
Make scouting a little more in depth
-
Let retired players turn to coaches after retiring in franchise mode
-
Let teams suspend or fine players for breaking team rules
-
Make the crowd more like fans and less like Robots
-
For the All-Star game players should wear their teams actual Jersey's like they do in the actual All-Star game
-
When teams Clinch Division, Wild Card, Berth, NLDS/ALDS, NLCS/ALCS, And World Series make the celebration cut scenes Realistic and not just generic. Show them partying, dancing, spraying champagne (with their goggles and winning shirts and hats on), while reporters are taking pictures and asking questions. That cut scene has literally been the same since the first MLB The Show 06.
-
MAKE RAIN DELAYS/POSTPONED GAMES A REAL THING! Let a game get rained out and they have to make it up by playing a double header
-
Give certain teams a replica of their die hard fans and what they do WHILE the game is played (I.E Oaklands Right Field Bleacher fans or Seattle's First base foul line fans)
-
Have a "show" that's like sports center but just for baseball in franchise mode where it can show a "Top 10 Plays" for that day.
What Realistic features other than gameplay, would you guys like to see in MLB The Show's Franchise mode?
-
-
Gotta say this is an incredibly detailed and well thought out suggestion.
I did get a bit triggered when I saw the word bobblehead in the first sentence, got flashbacks to MLB 18's terrible system lol, but quickly realized you are talking about franchise and not DD.
I honestly can't think of too much more to add. Maybe have championship flags added to the stadiums when you win? So you get to see the flag raising ceremony where they put up the "2020 World Champions" thing.
-
I would love. 3 team trades or ability to send cash. (I've devised my own 3 team trade system by trading a player I dont want for a player I dont need then immediately flipping said player to another team for a need but I'd like to see it in the game.
Ability to send more than 3 players in a trade.
Expand roster size to 100. Maybe leave a few of those slots open so teams can sign free agents or trade for more players without having to release others.
Abilities to edit hair and facial hair on all players. I know this seems minor. But seeing guys who get traded to the Yankees with beards just doesn't seem natural. Note: I play as Boston so I see the Yankees quite a bit. Also keeping in mind that I love taking a minor league through a franchise. Tweaking their hair and facial hair styles and looks the older they get. Players in real life change their looks all the time.
Brawls and ejections is big for me as well. Again the Yankees Red Sox rivalry just doesn't feel the same without them. I recently went through the 4 game set that took place during the trade deadline. The Yankees came close to knocking me out of contention for the year. Getting plunked and plunking guys with nothing more than a stare down felt so unnatural.
You have a great list btw.
-
Bench cleaning brawls banned by mlb, they told them if its in the game then there is no game.
-
Yes, I agree with all the suggestions, but the key ingredient we're missing is a dev team (more realistically a company) that 1. acknowledges there is a large offline market and 2. stops trying to herd us towards their online racket with neglected offline modes and half-baked additions.
-
I'd like to see downloadable historical stadiums. Buy the old ones with stubs. They don't have to be on the disc for the game, but downloadable onto the PS system and used in game. Being able to download the Astrodome, Tiger Stadium, Mile High Stadium, Busch and others would be really neat.
-
I agree with all of your points. Little details like these make a huge difference for me. I could add about 100 to the list, but unfortunately I think it's a waste of time. I'm not confident they will make any changes to Franchise mode.

Oh I'm well aware. I think it's sad though. without them.it doesn't feel as realistic.

Wish i myself could promote you as game dev. To add, if the all star game would be realistically in different cities each year would be nice. The presentation could be better. Certain parts of the broadcasts where they can go over a stadium's history, the team's history, spotlight a legendary player, put up all time stats mid-game. Love the new stadiums aspect, would love to be able to set the team logos back to what they were before. Rally squirrels! Scenes of the outside of the ballpark before the game starts. Alternating announcers (Verducci, Ravech, Flores, Rose, Byrnes, Lowell) and field reporters that can be found in places throughout the stadium (dugouts, restaurants, other attractions), "suspensions" for PEDs, a realistic scouting stream where an international draft pool is SEPARATE than the first year player draft. Personality traits on players, coaches, and being able to bring players, staff to your office as a GM to talk to them. In all honesty, someone on their dev team should play OOTP and get back to us soon.
