Anyone play vs users who lag when you pitch?

Anyone here play against certain users online and notice that when that person bats, the game goes super slow? Especially as soon as I release a pitch. It never does this for other players but only for specific users.
Is this normal?

Check your terms of service. You don’t want to get banned for calling out a player.

Pitch going in slow is a feature, it is sync the connection to the batter, if means you are running faster than them. the batter sees it coming in regular speed, not slow.

P2P surely is the optimal connection for minimal gameplay lag between two machines?

Guys, I'm new to DD and only recently tried Ranked Seasons and Events . I noticed the "lag" when pitching and thought it was just they way online play was, but now I'm wondering if the "slow" appearance of my pitches is server related or possibly my connection related. I have a 100 mbps connection (is that enough?) but my console isn't hard wired. I've played other online games this way and never perceived a problem. I just want to make sure I'm not causing an issue for other users.
Again, I'm new to this online gaming world and while I'm not sure how much user vs user I'll play (not that good or young), I don't want to cause any other players any issues when I do play. Thx in advance.

No, it’s supposed to look normal to the batter, so as the pitching team you’ll see the lag while the game syncs up the action. It’s obviously much more more detrimental to the hitter than the batter if there is any interference in the visual representation of the pitch coming in, so the intent is to have that on the defensive side rather than offensive. Sometimes it actually works too.

Yeah, guys, its not some cheater. Its the games way of syncing up connections.
