Why isn’t there Offline stat missions to get prestige?

Was worse in 17, IMO more offline content this year than the past 3 years
I'm not sure thats true. 17 had 2 full conquest campaigns, the second giving you a Mauer card, plus it had team epics that had stat grinds as well as vs cpu games. Then you had that all star program that required you to beat every team at escalating difficulty. On top of all that you had the regular programs that were all doable offline after the first two or three.

It’s designed to encourage online play. I’m sure SDS would prefer 100% of users participated online.
Prestige, exclusive BR rewards, exclusive RS rewards, are to entice online play. Online play is probably what drives revenue and online play is the market in which they’re trying to compete.
It’s probably more likely that online benefits increase before there’s a chance that offline rewards are on par.
But if u are someone who enjoys DD and wants to play offline, its very difficult to upgrade
100% agreed. I play exclusively offline. But I think it’s more difficult by design. Better rewards are the carrot on the stick in an attempt to move you towards online play.

I took the bait this year and got PS Plus but I am so bad I think I lose 2 of every 3 games online.

Give the option for offline grind, but double the requirements and I'd agree.
I'd be fine with it. I'm an offline guy, and that would give me something to work towards. I miss the stat grinds.
You're one of the few. 18 left a baaaaaad taste in my mouth.

I wish SDS would listen to this kind of thing, which gets brought up fairly often — especially to cater to people who can’t always find time to play RS. I don’t have kids, but I am the primary caregiver for a disabled loved one. It is not often that I can say with absolute certainty that I have the next 45 minutes to an hour free to play a game of RS. Last year, I suspect probably a third of my total losses came from having to quit out of a game unexpectedly.
Offline is so much easier on people with hectic lives, but it’s unfortunately clear that SDS looks at offliners as second-class citizens.
Well said. Not everyone can, likes, loves, etc. online. Modes should be equally split between the offline and online player. I can do both, but to me offline seems easier to do and seems to take less time towards my goal. Maybe the rewards should be altered for online versus offline.

No one wants to go back to 18 type of stat grinds, I love that they have multiple ways to get TA points. But I would like the stat missions to be repeatable, that would help a lot I think. 5 points for 250 innings is a lot. I mean to get the same points for beating Showdown, you have to have 1000 innings. That's like 16 games vs CPU. What's that, 10 hours? Once you get the 5 for stats, the only way to get TA points using your DD team is innings, and that is not a real efficient way to get there. Right now I have 14 teams still at Stage 1, no way do i want to do 14 MTOs, and the Showdowns attached to those teams kick the [censored] out of me 9 times out of 10.

MTO isnt for me either especially when I am up 3-0 in a series and it puts me down 6-0 in a game in the 4th. Id rather have control over my team and the game

You would have loved 17 and 18, which locked a bunch of cards behind online-only play, including Hardware Griffey, Immortal Kershaw, Immortal Ted, and more.
It's INFINITELY better than it was for the offliners now.

Doesn't necessarily have to be on 18's level. More like 17. Some grinding to work towards, outside of TA innings and get hits with infielders.

Facts. The 18 Immortal grind ruined my motivation to grind forever. I'll drop some bills before I ever do that again lol.

"Because DD is an online mode"
There I said it so no one else needs to.
No its online based. If it were an online mode, conquest wouldnt exist.
-
Then what's point in trying March to October, offline mode, to it. Essential everyone should be able to field the team of their dreams whether its offline or online. Grind stats for offline should be brutal as well late in game cycle since they want to promote online features.
-
The first time I played DD was in 2018 & I loved it because I am an “offline player”. I loved it in 2018. In 2019 they changed the entire layout & requirements & I didn’t even play last year. I love the game though, so this year I said screw it. IMO, the best way to even things out is to have the availability to get maybe half or a third of Prestige done offline as well, but still have to play online (RS, BR, Events) to complete Prestige.

yeah, the point being made is that it shouldn't just be an offline mode.

DD is a dual mode
Offline and online
If you only want to participate for what ever reason in offline only that is fine but you will be limited to what is available. Online is the next step as it's the premium service that comes with PS Plus so there will be additional features provide in the online aspect of the mode.
We have been down the everything is attainable offline road before and it almost killed the series. They have a great balance now for both aspect of the mode.
Prestige players is just a fancy calling card to other online players to say I used this guy alot that is all it is. With the exceptions of the odd player the +3 boost is negligible. In fact I never use my prestige players as I think they are worse. An offline prestigable card make zero sense, you get a red diamond on a card because you used it alot offline vs the CPU so only you get to see the red diamond I'm sorry it makes no sense.

While I agree with you that it doesnt make much of a difference, it's hard for many brains to see the +3 and not think "I want this version, it's better than the regular version." Most players want the best version, or they believe they are missing out.

I played online for years but not enjoying it this year so decided to play solely offline. I love stat missions and I love the power up program from MUT. SDS has a great opportunity here to combine those and give playing offline more reason.
Love this idea. I know online people might not like it but it really does not affect them because we play offline. IE You dont need to worry about playing my offlined Prestiged player because I dont play online games.

In regard to content, yes you’re correct. They gotta figure how to prestige offline though!
-
As an offline only player I would be fine if they made prestiging players the ONLY perk to playing online. That's the only place those cards would be desirable anyway. My prestiged Posey has pretty much treated me the same in all the offline modes as the non-prestiged one. We simply don't need prestiged cards against the CPU.
Make all cards available to offline players in some capacity and let the online players have the ability to prestige them all via online stats. Simple solution and everyone wins.
