I played online for years but not enjoying it this year so decided to play solely offline. I love stat missions and I love the power up program from MUT. SDS has a great opportunity here to combine those and give playing offline more reason.

Yeah, as much as I love the Show and DD, MUT is better for offline players. Only thing I like about MUT more. Even that said, I still play DD 10x more than MUT. And football is my favorite sport.

I wish SDS would listen to this kind of thing, which gets brought up fairly often — especially to cater to people who can’t always find time to play RS. I don’t have kids, but I am the primary caregiver for a disabled loved one. It is not often that I can say with absolute certainty that I have the next 45 minutes to an hour free to play a game of RS. Last year, I suspect probably a third of my total losses came from having to quit out of a game unexpectedly.

Offline is so much easier on people with hectic lives, but it’s unfortunately clear that SDS looks at offliners as second-class citizens.

Give the option for offline grind, but double the requirements and I'd agree.

It’s quite a bit down the road, but I bet the final Affinity award will be able to be Prestiged.

That's the thing. SDS doesn't give a [censored] that you have to help your wife with the kids. I would like to see them tell wives to wait until the RS game is over.

I'd be fine with it. I'm an offline guy, and that would give me something to work towards. I miss the stat grinds.

"Because DD is an online mode"

There I said it so no one else needs to.

But it’s not. At least not in the same way that you’re using the word. It seems like a lot of people seem to think “DD” is synonymous with “RS.” It is not. DD also includes Conquest, Showdown, Moments, Player Programs, collections, and other ways of playing the game that do not require a 45-60 minute uninterrupted commitment that’s needed for RS. The problem I’m describing is that — even though DD is definitely not just RS — the only real way to prestige the Prime cards is via RS. Thats really unfair imo.

I still buy stubs, but I’ve only played 8 RS games this year. I don’t consider myself to be primarily an “online” player, but I do consider myself primarily a DD player (as opposed to RttS, MtO, HR Derby, CotW, etc). If I really want to prestige Minoso so I can use the blood diamond almost entirely in Conquest, then why can’t I grind those stats out in Conquest?

It’s designed to encourage online play. I’m sure SDS would prefer 100% of users participated online.

Prestige, exclusive BR rewards, exclusive RS rewards, are to entice online play. Online play is probably what drives revenue and online play is the market in which they’re trying to compete.

It’s probably more likely that online benefits increase before there’s a chance that offline rewards are on par.

But if u are someone who enjoys DD and wants to play offline, its very difficult to upgrade

I'm not sure thats true. 17 had 2 full conquest campaigns, the second giving you a Mauer card, plus it had team epics that had stat grinds as well as vs cpu games. Then you had that all star program that required you to beat every team at escalating difficulty. On top of all that you had the regular programs that were all doable offline after the first two or three.

100% agreed. I play exclusively offline. But I think it’s more difficult by design. Better rewards are the carrot on the stick in an attempt to move you towards online play.

I took the bait this year and got PS Plus but I am so bad I think I lose 2 of every 3 games online.

Well said. Not everyone can, likes, loves, etc. online. Modes should be equally split between the offline and online player. I can do both, but to me offline seems easier to do and seems to take less time towards my goal. Maybe the rewards should be altered for online versus offline.
