Of course they fixed it... they loosing money from micro transactions by giving out double the points...
Lets fix something what benefits the people and made them play a mindless grinding mode. Take xp's away for other modes.
Priorities are still obvious
Fielding is still garbage and hitting and pitching is still rng...I mean, I wasn't holding my breath, I knew it would get patched. But just hopeful it wouldn't get patched so quick.

will not be playing MTO anymore because of that. Perhaps that is what they intended

Whats this mean? Does this mean that we will no longer get 52 points if we 'beat the game' on All-Star difficulty?
What exactly was double points?
You would get double points than what they posted. So if you did hall of fame on MtO you would get like 120+ pts for the whole season if you could win. I think an 8 to 10hr grind for the FS cards is reasonable. Now you have to do 18+ hrs for the cards. As someone who had had this game series since 2008, it feels outright greedy and insulting.
I'm assuming that 18+ hrs is if you're starting from 0%? Meaning you would need to complete two MTO runs, each team, to get the 120 pts to unlock the FS in Stage 2?
On a side note; technically I can understand them changing it; as it was more or less a 'bug'. But what about the people that already completed multiple TAs by using that option?
Doesn't seem fair to change it, after orher people got to take advantage of it.

I can't believe that people thought that they would not fix the MTO bug (and it was obviously a bug) and the HR derby exploit.

I really don't think that the HR Derby was supposed to be an XP glitch. Honestly, it is not a commonly played mode they were just trying to make somewhat rewarding I think. Just people took it to the extreme.

Since were doing away with double points in MTO, can I at least get some retro points from where I won the World Series with my beloved Braves? I definitely finished it before there was a glitch. I got the 42 points from Veteran (def not 84, because I had a ton of Bravos in my lineup to get me to 70). I actually stalled on collecting Acuña until stage 2 was released, just to find out that counted nothing towards it. I at least should have 85-90 total instead of 70.
I might as well ask... tried to get Spectrum to upgrade my internet for free, too. Let’s see if I can bat .500

Yeah the bigger problem was the retro thing to be honest. But I guess they just wrapped HR Derby and other things into it. I didn't even know that Play Online vs Friends was an issue lol.

Strange that the HRD XP is being nerfed, that XP has been the same for years +25XP per Home Run. However there might be a reason why people have more time to play that mode this year, and get all that XP.
The MTO points 'bug' actually seemed like a goodwill gesture from SDS given the state of the actual gameplay within DD, but alas not. There is now little reason to continue playing that mode given that doing it with the same team more than once seems dull as you'll make the same player moves each time. Disappointing.

This was my first reaction. Being an offline player I was actually enjoying the game for a little bit there. It was only a matter of time before they took it away as they have gradually done to offline players since removing grinds.

I wish they left mto points alone. Even with double points it took forever to get a TA done. Especially the teams still in stage 1. It already was a massive grind now it just doesn't seem worth the time.
Maybe it could be double points for stage 1 and regular points for stage 2?

Thank you @sds for continuing to try to fix the gameplay. Im excited to try out the changes on d. Hoping the infield starts to play smoother. I think last update did a good job addressing alot of issues in the outfield and the game definitely plays better since last patch.

Would be really cool if they could make it so you always got a xp reward when you level up. I'm currently lvl 84 diamond and maybe have received the xp reward card 20 times. I know it's usually a useless common, but it would be nice. Showdown seems to be the worst for not giving any reward when you level up.

Oof. Yeah, I'm not thrilled about the MTO 'fix.' That goes back to being a heck of a grind now. I still only have one done there goes the chance of realistically completing the rest in any kind of reasonable time frame. Especially since I'm an 'essential' employee, eh? Those were fun little grinds, but man, just doesn't seem worth it now.

Victor can we get any information on the good/okay hitting feedback. I have not read anything from sds that has talked about this. I just would like to know what is the plan with hitting, and if it is being planned to tweak or to stay where it is?
