Reduced the amount of XP received in Play vs Friends, Retro Mode, and Home Run Derby to be more in line with other modes.
We should have seen this coming they hot fixed the XP in Showdown and pretended it never happened lol.

For the people who complete collections and play the DD mode in versus.. showdown.. conquest.. and get the XP by earning it. So your telling me people who sit and play something so mind numbly boring that takes no skill should be awarded more XP than those that complete collections for as many teams as possible? Yeah ok. Sure it's a grind.. a extremely tedious one. It's still exploiting a glitch. The HR Derby wasn't designed to give that much XP. That's why they are patching it. I don't really blame SDS.. they would think people bought their game to play and try to get cards.. not play a mode for 10 hours out of a 24 hour day. Lol.. but sure .. big time grind.
This is the same company that had us collect hats two seasons ago to get cards......
They patched two things that I didn't think really needed to be patching. The perfect jump stealing (not sure how they fixed it). If they made it so pitchers just slide step more than is fine. I just hope they don't have the pitchers throwing over every time we take a lead now. Also, MTO shouldn't have been patched for "double points" at least not if you have to complete Stage 1 and 2 still. I can see if you only have stage two left. I am still not sure how they patched Retro Modes/HRD XP because it doesn't say they made it zero so I am curious how much they actually reduced it.

I really don't think that the HR Derby was supposed to be an XP glitch. Honestly, it is not a commonly played mode they were just trying to make somewhat rewarding I think. Just people took it to the extreme.

Look at the other sports franchises. SDS is far superior compared to the other companies. Is the gameplay the best it could be every year? Maybe. It is hard to say without a comparison. But the content and F2P mentality is 100x better than EA or 2K.

Yep don’t need any extra steps. Just steal with everyone. As long as they are not holding you on you know they won’t throw to second. Once you hit 8 runs they will hold you on and you can’t do it any more but usually by then the pitcher is toast so you can tee off on him.
I was already knocking them out 12-0 without this so this will definitely make it a lot easier. Gotta get on this and do it before the first patch.

It is a hot button issue because if everyone is Prestige tier there is not as much of a need for players to buy stubs.

First by doing this you never hit into a dp. Second by the time you hit 8 runs the pitcher has zero confidence and almost everything you swing at ends up leaving the yard. I’m not sure if it the constant stealing or just the 8 runs but the confidence is gone.
What is this steal thing? I have heard other ppl mention it.
If you have fewer than 8 runs they won’t hold you or throw to the bag when you steal so once you get on base you can steal second and third with everyone. This will keep you out of double plays and also forces you to take more pitches which wears down the pitcher energy and confidence.
So don't have to do anything special? You can just take two steps and steal?

Right now most play through each level and don't skip to final boss. Each step along the way you get both runs for the final AND extra good players for your lineup, so there's no benefit to skipping unless you want to save a little time, playing through gives you a tighter score and better players...
But what if... You start the Showdown with a maxed out squad, then each step when you are awarded runs, instead of drafting players, you have to remove players -- so you gain runs but need to worsen your team... Then you have to decide, keep going and tighten the score, but play with a worse team? Or skip to the end when comfortable with a stacked team? Adds more strategy to it.
I think that would be a real cool Showdown series to mix it up.
Cool idea if I get to pick my super squad to start and it isn't just random.
