Longest HR.

How are you guys seeing the distance without doing a replay?

@dbarmonstar said in Longest HR.:
the only HR that should be R2 is no doubters.
Why?
Who decides what level of emotional and mental frailty defines acceptable levels of enjoyment?
Is it seriously so awfully difficult to take one on the chin and chuckle about it, perhaps even congratulate the opponent?
Do those who are so freaking precious about being "dissed" really fail to understand how much more fun everyone - including the hyper-sensitive - has when such nonsense is absent from the GAMES?
Maybe, just maybe, if we all let each other enjoy and express themselves/ourselves with being so massively concerned with the notion that someone else's enjoyment might have in some small way come at our "expense"... grrrrr... this stuff is just so ridiculous it's mind-blowing.

It is a video game, I have no issue with the R2 after a HR, but like I said hitting a HR that barely goes over or to R2 every HR you hit is overboard, Next year we will have more highlights where you can use R2 in Strike outs or Diving catches and make the game over an hour long.
-
503 Mike Trout
-
This year 461 but in the show 18 I went 515 with Flashback Corey Hart at Coors
-
Coors Field seems to be where you can hit the furthest HR I noticed this doing HR Derby.
-
486ft Juan Soto FOTF at Shippet.
-
498 twice...first time was.Willie Calhoun at coors. 2nd was Eugenio Suarez hit the royals hall of fame building at Kaufman
-
Just took one 516 at Laughing Mountain with FOTF Gallo. It was against the CPU on All-Star, but still.

On the subject of replays in online games, that yet another thing about which to be annoyed has been created out of thin air is utterly baffling to me. Are so many people who are playing online games so emotionally weak that they find it abhorrent for an opponent to enjoy a moment of success? Seriously? I mean, come ON...
Personally, when an opponent takes one of my pitchers deep, I remove any worry or doubt when it comes to whether or not it's "okay" to view the replay by hitting L2 myself, every single time. Seriously, what is the harm in letting your opponent enjoy the replay? You never know, if you allow for the possibility that it's okay for others to enjoy themselves - even when you're their opponent - you just might find that you're enjoying yourself more at some point along the way.
It would be nice if we could R2 for a highlight when a HR is Robbed by a great catch. Does not happen as much, the only HR that should be R2 is no doubters.
That would be an awesome feature. Definitely more rare than the homers. I robbed a bomb in CF with Griffey the other day and my opponent sent a friend request just to tell me how spectacular the catch was. I imagine we both would've enjoyed watching it again.
-
402 with the created CF player, but it was on a line.....

I don't do it every time, but I also often preempt my opponent and watch the replays on their epic homers. They reciprocate a lot of the time.
It's hilarious that some players can get tilted by a 10-second replay. Imagine if they allowed the custom bat flips from Unlockables!
-
Furthest I've hit so far was 460 at Dodger stadium with Belli Bombs
-
Hit a 458 shot with 86 Torrie hunter at minute maid field
-
509 with Gleyber
-
Coors field, conquest, veteran difficulty 492ft blast to right center upper deck with none other than my man Austin Meadows. Also was on a normal (x) swing.
2nd longest was 482 also at coors. I don’t remember who I hit it with though but it wasn’t a typical power hitter.

Ditto... and amazingly, such games tend to be more enjoyable for both of us, if you can imagine such a thing happening. A few days ago, I played a game with someone who was running hotter than the sun, who hit seven bombs off of my pitchers in the midst of a 10-0 thrashing. Most of the seven were truly magnificent, arcing high into the sky - pretty sure that one bounced off of the Hubble - and we watched each replay. Now of course, no one enjoys getting beaten like that, but it didn't wound me at all and the fact that I took the thrashing in good spirits added to my opponent's enjoyment. Seems like a good way to spend a bit of time to me... might as well have fun wherever you can find it.

Unquestionably. Sometimes I think about how much fun and how immensely profitable it would be to play poker against some of these people, especially the ones whose quits I can feel coming after a particular play... like, a big home run to break a tie in the 7th inning or so, I say to myself, "Here it comes..." and then sure enough, the screen pops up (for example), "Petulant_Child_14 has quit."
-
@Onyx_Hokie_2 lmao, that's a spot-on analogy to poker. I totally agree with the observation about the level of enjoyment.
