Examples of Vasgersian, Plesac & DeRosa not making any sense

The commentary is very stale and generic, which is disappointing. I like playing on Broadcast mode and it would be more fun if they had better announcers. Or at least phrases from Vasgersian that haven't been used for 10+ years. Even worse, they don't make sense half the time!

Am I the only one that cares about the quality of the broadcasting team?

Here are some examples of head-scratchers:

With Mike Trout batting and Matt Thaiss on deck, Plesac claims enthusiastically that he'd rather face the guy in the batter's box than the guy in the on deck circle.

DeRosa suggesting a nasty slider down and away is coming (my pitcher did not have a slider in his pitch repertoire)

DeRosa suggesting a win could give the team momentum for the rest of the season (team I was playing in Franchise mode had lost 8 of 9.) Problem is, it was the last game of the season and they had been eliminated from playoff contention weeks earlier.

After 2-run HR in the 2nd inning...
"That is such an important run here in the top of the 1st" - Mark DeRosa

At the end of the 16th inning, Vasgersian affirms "no runs here in the bottom of the 9th, and we're going to extra innings!"

My submission into the suggestion box is this: New commentators or a significant revision to the current state of commentary.

'And he is out on the tag' ... on a force play (usually 3 unassisted)

'... and he reaches second base with a double' ... on a 1b and fielders choice (which is scored correctly in both the play-by-play and box score)

And lastly I always wonder why they say 'And that will do it! A no hitter!' when it's actually a perfect game. Even in a 9-inning game vs the cpu. I mean, it's not wrong... but it takes some of the glory off it.

When a guy is the only guy to stike out through the order they both mention that fact in a similar manner.

The one that always makes me smirk is Pleasac saying to get a guy uncomfortable, you need to pound him inside.

    Every time, I chuckle.

I’ve had several times where they’ve said and that’s strike two when it was only the first strike.

I actually find this stuff somewhat amusing and doesn’t bother me

The build up to the immaculate inning (eg on the 8th pitch Plesac says something like ‘and that’s number 8, one away...’ and then when pitch 9 is the third strikeout it just ends like a regular inning. Total anticlimax.

I would love to see SDS implement team specific announcers. Make it DLC. $3/team or $50 for all 30. I'd buy it.

I think even if they keep these guys, they need to start from scratch and re-record everything. Some phrases have been in use for too many years. It’s really getting tiring.

I can’t remember exactly what they say but there is one where they’re like the pitcher has been dominant in this game but isn’t racking up big strikeout numbers.....and I’m just like of course he isn’t racking up big strikeout numbers because I just brought him out of the bullpen and he’s only thrown 2 pitches lol

'... And keep in mind, small ball is in play' With runners on first and second, 2 outs and a slow runner at the plate.
