My Hitting sucks!

A lot of times when I strike out, I strike out looking. In full counts there’s just as much pressure on the pitcher as their is you if off speed is coming. I think I’d rather strike out looking then flailing at a breaking ball that was below the zone that would have been a ball
-
I’m 36, have played every year and I am having the same issues for some reason this year. I’ve seen improvements tho but it’s going to take practice. Put the sliders for pitch and breaking ball speeds all the way up. Go to practice mode and put on legend. Pick pitchers with high pitch speeds. I choose Chapman or Newheiser. Go two days or so just practicing with these pitch speeds. I know it seems boring cuz there are no rewards but I promise in the long run it will help. When u hop online the pitches will feel slow.
Just know if u turn off the system you would either have to load the sliders back up or just have to change them urself again. It will not load either he changes automatically -
I don't often strikeout, but when I do strikeout, I strikeout looking.
-
Try Custom Practice on Legend. I play it constantly especially when scouting Showdown Bosses.
Don't feel bad: I'm 42 and been playing this game since it was called Baseball Stars and I still can't hit the High-and-Tight Cheese... ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Tv/monitor?
TV is totally fine just make sure it is set to game mode. As far as the hitting view goes I use offset zoom, some people use strike zone but I find that to be less enjoyable aesthetics wise.
ultimately it just takes practice to learn the strike zone and what balls not to swing it. When I first started I had the same problem, I got some good advice from somebody that I took to heart not to swing until I had two strikes and it really help me learn the strike zone.
Number one mistake most casual noobs make is try to play sports game on a TV, I hear some of them even play Formula 1 games on a TV, which is the most ridiculous thing I've heard.

We are sorry. You have reached your 2020's decade limit on the phrase "casual noobs". You are no longer able to post this phrase on this website. Grow a spine and play online. Thank You, -Casual Noob.

A new decade starts next year, can I start using that term again? And thank you for admitting that you're a casual noob, I have more respect for you now..I just wish the others would admit it.

That sounds eerily familiar.
It annoys me when people keep saying the decade begins with a 0, no you noobs, it begins with a 1.
-
I think it all began retroactive is all. So that is where the confusion comes from.
-
No OP, there’s no chance of hitting the ball really. Even if you do, it will be by accident.

So 1980 wasn’t part of the 80s? The year 1 AD would have started theoretically when? 1/1/1? Do you agree? But it took twelve months for 1 to be a year. Calendar starts 1/1/00 if you needed the unnecessary explanation of how years work. You have been in the 20s for almost four full months already, my friend

Honestly, natty light starts to taste bearable once you’re at least 5 deep.
Not good, but bearable.
The number 1 choice for many broke HS kids lol.

Number one hitting advice I can give is don’t listen to anything joshjays says

My common sense and facts are too much for you guys to handle!
-
Thanks for the tips!! Started waiting for more pitches in strike zone and have 3-0 record this morning with 20 hits! Still striking out a ton but nice to see some results...
Probably because I started with Rookie and Veteran stuff and Ranked is harder pitching

I hate agreeing with the troll, but in this instance he’s right. The 3rd millennium started in 2001, not 2000. There’s no Year 0.

Ok I did my research and turns out while you’re correct, he still is the worst. Confirmed
