Beyond toxic vile experience in a game

Listen I have played this game since 2015 online with all the stuff people do with- bunt dancing and speed cheesing etc that would drive us all insane....but I've never experienced something so ridiculously vile as what I just had in an event game.
55 FRICKing minutes because the guy (DM me for username so you can block him also) literally changed his team name to "quitoriwasteyourtime" and proceeded to run the pause timer down to nearly zero every inning, hold r2 the max time allotted, purposely take every batter to three ball counts while waiting the maximum time allowed between pitches and making sure to step off and throw over the max amount of times allotted.
I took the lead on a HR late in the game, after which he did his usual running the pause timer down and then tried to make my game freeze for a freeze off (it did for like 20 seconds) but I got the win.
I know sds never checks reports so good luck on that but at least you can block him and save yourself from being bullied into ruining a 12 and 0 run because some idiot does this and declines the friendly quit to force you to sit there and deal with the chode or quit your run.

That’s sick lol, I’ve gotten messages from kids saying “can you walk me 9 times for a challenge then I’ll quit” and I just say no lol

Those are avoidable and you can always tell them to give you the 4 xbh and they quit quick....this there was no way out of

Yeah I know, and you don't realize how long sds let's you take to choose a pitch until someone does this for an entire game

I truly hope SDS looks into this and bans the d-bag who did this to you BUT by coming here and only telling his “strategy” instead of outing the individual or perhaps saying nothing at all, I feel like you are creating more monsters than you are stopping. You know some kids and cheesers are gonna read that and go “hmmmm I think I’ll try that”.

Luckily not many kids know to log on here, they're too busy circle jerking on twitch or YouTube, hopefully it raises awareness to how long the pitch delays are and they have enough reports vs him to ban for a week or so to get him to cut the [censored]

This. I miss the old way. You had like 4 or 5 minutes to use (which was still excessive imo) Now you get like 3 minutes for the first inning and like an extra minute every inning after, if not more. Plus with the 3 batter limit, you're going to the pen even less so it makes even less sense to have that much pause time.
I get pausing real quick in some situations (most of which are probably also under the "could have taken care of that before you started" variety) but pause time is far too generous.

I had a guy message me the other day and criticize me after he exhausted his pause time and I took the win. It was in BR and it was tied. I messaged him back and said, whatever. How long do you expect me to wait for you.

I said it during the beta and I'll say it again. Pause time should be 3 minutes per game if not shorter. It really does not take long at all to do a bullpen change or pinch hit a player. Otherwise your just wasting peoples time. If you have other things to do then you probably shouldn't accept a game (bathroom breaks excluded). But going out of your way to stall a game is pathetic. I'm sorry to hear about this OP it must have been excruciating playing a full game like this. It's unacceptable behavior in my opinion.

Honestly I think blocking someone's PSN ID only keeps them from messaging you. It has nothing to do with matching up with them.
Although I think it works like that on the Xbox, so maybe they can figure it out for the PS5

I've just turned messages off from non-friends like 2 years ago (when there were people sending weird messages that would crash your ps4 resulting in easy wins for them).
Every year 9/10 messages are just salty crybabies that like to throw various slurs at you when they lose or someone trying to scam you out of a win.
Every so often you get a decent post game convo or a legit grinding partner (back when it was more important like Griffey's 4 hit game in 17).

Saw this on Facebook, Next time some continually runs the pause timer down on you, when you’re in an inning that their pitcher will be up, make sure they’ve run the timer down, walk them to get to their pitcher it’ll automatically take them to the pinch hit screen and forfeit their game because they won’t have time left

That’s when the most Trouts come. This guy I just made up packed 4 Trouts in one HL pack mid game.

I played that DBag yesterday the experience was awful something should be done not only the event is 6 innings but cmon the cheese aswell

If someone ever tries this with me, I'm gonna do the same stuff right back at him until I make him quit instead. We'll see how bad he still wants that win when it's tied in the 30th inning.
I'd be like, "Challenge accepted, dbag! You wanna waste time, then let's waste some time. I've got all day!'
