Friday's Bat Conquest map rewards a chase pack
-
Here is what happened...
Somebody at SDS decided that offline rewards (with the exception of Diamond Quest) needed to all be No Sell
Online players complained about being forced to play these modes. Offline players could buy the online rewards but the reverse was no longer true.
SDS decided that the answer to that problem was to reward packs instead of cards. To their credit they are expensive packs but the odds are still not great.
We are in October and we are getting maps that will most likely reward players with lower diamonds. When everything else is a 99 OVR, who wants to play an 8 team conquest map for a useless card or, worse yet, a duplicate useless card.
It has become DQ lite where there is no guaranteed worthwhile reward for your time.

My favorite is the 85+ live series that will surely be deep in the inning path, surrounded by 2 single show packs.
To be fair with conquest, the average map now is better than it was a few years ago. Im usually walking away with a good chunk of stubs, although rarely with a card I didnt have before. Conquest has been in a pretty good place throughout the year. They just don't want to give out things like that packapalooza rare round selector, or an actual chase or headliner card, often at all, even this late in the year. And maybe in past years they didn't need to but with weekly chase packs and non choice rare rounds its time to make adjustments.

I remember the Shark Maps giving out great rewards/cards but this year’s was more than disappointing.
-
The shark map was always kinda overblown, in my opinion.

It just shows they're completely phoning it in.
Every path is near identical to what they were opening day.
Let that sink in.It's shambolic.

Would it kill SDS to increase the odds in packs so we don’t have to grind for dog poo?
-
Got Max Fried from the chase pack and the vault pack at an 88 live series and 91 Donaldson.
Net result, less than 10k total.
-
I hope they lock in for next year. I’m all for once the all-star break hits, give better odds on the live series pulls, maybe double odds from launch so diamonds are 1:25. Then once postseason comes, give better odds again. I think there used to be games that once endless inning hit, show packs actually had better odds, but I can’t give an exact year off the top of my head.
I’m not a believer in giving every single card away, cards still need to be rare and have value. But 11 show packs, 5 ballin and 4 headliners each inning path is what, maybe 5k stubs on average? Thats worse than the deluxe moonshot pack which only takes up 1 spot instead of almost 20. But I’m not a game dev nor a c-suite who only looks at numbers, so what do I know.

Go figure. Glasnow comes up way too often in chase packs and vault packs.
-
Live series skenes and Glasnow were my 2 so quick sold for 10K stubs. 8 games for 10K stubs, which is likely what 95% of players will get, in late October. Make it make sense.
-
I got the egg Mookie in my vault pack. Nice little 70k hit.
-
@pergo_mlbts if I pulled that card I would've held till the new collection gets closer because I'm pretty sure his price will go up but if you needed the stubs then obviously you sell
-
@sbchamps17_NSW Yeah I agree, it'll likely go up when the collection comes around. For me, I already have more stubs then I know what to do with at this point, and I usually wind down my playing of this game after the World Series so who knows if I'll even be around when the next collection comes out. If someone was able to grab it for their collections a little cheaper I am cool with that.
