Allen is actually the second highest Meta rated primary 1B behind only Victor but he’s not a switch hitter and if you include secondary 1B, he falls to 12th so his position might also have something to do with it.

Its not just lack of demand - its that hes completely unplayable stats-wise (there are infinity better options)...and he isnt needed now for a collection purpose

This constant hyperbole around cards that don't fit the current meta exactly is part of the reason why we're getting less and less diversity in our cards.
People look at stats, don't use a card, and immediately discount it for fear of being at even the slightest perceived disadvantage.So many eminently usable cards get thrown in the dustbin because of this.

Most people play on a level where his vision is more than fine, especially with a contact mod. I think he typically has a solid swing.
He is just not at the level of a typical chase card.
