Chase Pack Funny Business?
-
The most recent chase pack player, richard allen, is worth less than 100k.
When is the last time you saw a chase pack player go for less than 100k during its life cycle?
I understand he is less desirable than Mike Trout, leading more people to sell him, but that also implies that many people had to have pulled him.
The only way you can attain him is through the MP path at the end when they give you the 50 bundle, or you buy the 50 bundle yourself.
I can't imagine many people 'chasing' after richard allen and buying packs is a sham, so how is his price so low? Are people cheesing the chase pack somehow for repeats?
I also understand that sales are probably up because of the season, so more people are completing the MP path. At the same breath, the numbers are not consistent with previous chase pack players when they are the featured player.
I smell a smelly smell that smells smelly.

I imagine with the Bobby Witt Jr. card available in show packs, people are buying them a lot more than normal.

This plus him not being a desirable meta fitting switch hitter is your answer. The Witt experiment has surely been a financial success for SDS so expect more of this moving forward. Get ready for maximum monetization. The player friendly days are all but gone.

Yep, I would say it is simply a lack of demand driving the prices down and not any funny business.

@dr_zoidberg25_MLBTS I actually never considered the bobby witt card. Makes sense now.
I wish there was a way to see how many 50 bundles have been purchased.

Allen is actually the second highest Meta rated primary 1B behind only Victor but he’s not a switch hitter and if you include secondary 1B, he falls to 12th so his position might also have something to do with it.
