Allen is 1000x more appealing to me than some switch hitter du jour.
How dare you talk about Ted a Simmons, Ozzie Smith, Lance Berkman and Willie McGee like that!

Just noticed that it included Leonardo Bernal on the list but he is obviously not a legend.
The problem happens because his Topps Now card is Leonardo and his live series is Leo. Since my program did not find a matching name in the live series it assumed he was a legend
-
Since the conversation in the Retro WS discussion has turned to Legends. I thought I would take another look at them and see where we stand.
Kind of surprising to see how many still have their best card at 90 or below and how many of those have only had a single card (as indicated by the number after their name). That includes big names like Lou Gehrig Willie Mays and Randy Johnson.
70 out of 111 legends who do not have a 99 card have only received a single card so far this year. You have to assume that the ones at 88 or below were all released as soon as the game launched.

The other issue is how much are these guys gonna be when they're released. Joe Morgan was one of the most recent legends released and he's almost up to 200k. Babe Ruth had 115 buy orders at 1M, Bobby Witt last I checked had about 25. Every specialty pack is basically Al Kaline. Every LS is either Glasnow or someone below 88. BIAP and regular packs are basically worthless. The marketplace activity looks and feels as if we're in late February. Is there gonna be a Negro League program / exchange or are we gonna be expected to buy each one separately?
Heck, I may just end up finishing this year playing some random games on '25.

What about him? He is included in the list, 2 cards with his best being a 97. Better that about 100 guys on the list.
But thanks, it pointed me to another error.
Zach Thornton - Topps Now
Zac Thornton - LiveJust seems sloppy both on SDS' part for not being able to sync the name of these players and me for not proofing it and catching it before.

Sorry, that was meant to come out as whom I'm waiting for a 99. Hopefully with the Red Sox.

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN
I want an actual 99 Ted Williams. My 97 Teddy is P5 99 and is my best hitter so thinking an actual 99 will the best. -
Why do we only get good Willie Mays cards after the season is done? I mean it seems like it happens every year. Release a god card early on since his swing in the game isn’t great.
-
@virusts_PSN
His swing has been terrible ever since he was introduced to the game. What’s up with that? Arguably the GOAT. -
I’m just waiting on 99 Mark McGwire. I know he’s not the most popular guy in The Show, but he’s my guy - has been since ‘87. Once he drops - and I HOPE he drops - then I fill out the rest of my final roster.

I just checked. This was the list last year on Oct 31st.
53 in 2025 vs 109 this year

@Dolenz_PSN Gagne and miller not having 99s is stupid. 2 layups for sds especially with the lack of relievers.
