Since the conversation in the Retro WS discussion has turned to Legends. I thought I would take another look at them and see where we stand.

Kind of surprising to see how many still have their best card at 90 or below and how many of those have only had a single card (as indicated by the number after their name). That includes big names like Lou Gehrig Willie Mays and Randy Johnson.

70 out of 111 legends who do not have a 99 card have only received a single card so far this year. You have to assume that the ones at 88 or below were all released as soon as the game launched.

It’s insane, we want to use these cards before the game is dead, no Lee smith, Gagne, miller, goose, no Gibson , Randy, chipper, vida blue or bob feller. Cool papa bell and biz Mackey? Yet honus has two 99’s? They should be dropping cards in at least ranked until the new game comes out, silly they don’t after a certain point, is it that hard to update ranked rewards. They just dump everything at the end and it’s stupid.

That being said, who could actually get their 99 as a postseason card for retro World Series program incoming?

As a side note there are 13 players who currently have 5 cards and 53 who have 4 cards (it may include ranked 1000 cards I am not sure).

They couldn’t have given us someone we want as a chase card as opposed to D. Allen? Headliners have been super stale too. Come on SdS

We haven't seen a 99 Mackey which is exceptionally strange since he's a meta switch hitting catcher with a fantastic swing but we have a 99, 97 and a 91 Adley Rutchsman.

I have wanted the vast majority of headliners they have been releasing, and [censored] Allen is 1000x more appealing to me than some switch hitter du jour.

I also would have taken Campy if I had been playing this inning.

I just can't be more disappointed that all these HoF cards are being dumped in non grindable packs instead of, you know, the Hall of Fame program.

How dare you talk about Ted a Simmons, Ozzie Smith, Lance Berkman and Willie McGee like that!

Just noticed that it included Leonardo Bernal on the list but he is obviously not a legend.

The problem happens because his Topps Now card is Leonardo and his live series is Leo. Since my program did not find a matching name in the live series it assumed he was a legend
