I looked this up on Google, and apparently, it’s highly recommended and something they’re considering for MLB The Show 27. We seriously need more commentary options. The commentators we have now have been around for so long. They’re not bad, but they’re just OK, and I think we could have much better options.

Imagine having someone like Joe Davis, Michael Kay, Brian Anderson, or Ryan Ruocco commentating in MLB The Show. Those are elite commentators who would bring something fresh to the game They’re loud and their energetic. You might not agree with me, but I genuinely think it’s time for a change.

Another idea that would be even better, if it’s possible, would be letting us choose our own commentators. Or imagine having one commentary team for the regular season and then switching to someone like Joe Davis for the postseason. That would make the playoffs feel even more special and realistic

There are so many possibilities, and ways they can go with this and I’ve been wanting something like this for a long time. We need fresh voices, more variety, and a commentary experience that makes every game feel different. I really hope MLB The Show 27 finally makes this happen!

Even adding new scoreboards would be awesome! Imagine having FOX or TBS scoreboards in MLB The Show. They could even use one scoreboard during the regular season and switch to a different one for the postseason.

Imagine how much more exciting the playoffs would feel with new commentary teams, a fresh broadcast crew, and a completely different scoreboard. It would make the game feel so much more like real Major League Baseball! And a lot of people would probably start playing the game too because that has been a big thing that people wanted for a while

There are so many possibilities, but MLB The Show 27 needs to bring something new to the table. New commentators, new scoreboards, and more variety would go a long way.

    Who’s with me?

Here's the lesson that we learned the last time they completely replaced the commentary team.

It will take years for the new guys to build up a sufficient amount of dialogue to match what is currently included in the game.

Matt Vasgersian, Mark DeRosa, and Dan Plesac were the commentators from 2006-2021
Sciambi and Singleton just were added in 2022 so in comparison they are still relatively new.
The did add the alternate Flores commentary this year which I have learned to prefer.

But here is the real kicker - No matter who they add we (as a collective group) will get tired of their limited, and therefore repeated, talking points by the end of the first year.
