Did Topps Now stop releasing cards? Were the cards released all for players that high level cards already?
Pavin Smith is the only 2026 Topps now cards the other four are all from 2024
Looking more closely it looks like maybe they just had no Choices. There were a lot of Team based cards, Cards for established stars with good cards already, and even guys like Ethan Salas, who earned a Topps Now card but already have a 99.

Mark Vientos is an odd choice. I don't think hes had a card this year since WBC, but as a Mets fan I wasn't itching for one. Surely there were spotlights they could have done instead?
Giving Lowe a card here probably indicates they are going to keep Finest a small set, that's a shame. 2023 Finest drop was so great.

It's from 2024.
I don't know if they just didn't want to change the card mix and give us Spotlight cards instead of Topps Now or whether they are somehow contractually obligated to release so many Topps Now cards?
It does seem strange. The Ethan Holliday card was the one that threw me off.

SDS had a chance to fix the broken meta.
Instead they chose to exploit it for money, deliberately making all the best cards switch hitters hidden behind paywalls, knowing many of their fanbase are desperate for any, even perceived, advantage to the point where they'll continually drop money for the next 'great' switch hitter.Like I said, utterly shameless.

I find it hard to believe those who feel the need to puff their chest out about their 'achievements' in a video game would be honest about the lengths they go to for said achievements.
The game is very profitable.
Lots seem to be spending, but no one is honest enough to admit it. -
Its not like its hard to make stubs, never underestimate those who play 4+ hours a day.
Not saying people don't buy stubs, but its not like this game makes madden or 2k money. People like me who would buy something like an upgraded season pass (provided it had no exclusive cards) would never buy stubs. I'm not going to buy a 50 bundle for an 11/12 chance at an 85-87 live series. Even flash sales are generally bad. Really, buying stubs is effectively buying cards directly and I don't see the fun in that.
I'm not "NMS" because I'm cheap or idealistic about, I'm NMS because the value isnt there to spend (and neither is the content to use the cards in)

Rhett Lowder was called up 6 months ago. Chase Burns yet to have a spotlight or Topps now card.

That Cole Carrigg card is immediately going on everyones god squad bench.
His TN is currently on mine at P5, lol. This 99 is in a pack, so look for it to be 70K, unless one pulls him. I'm batting around .062 in getting the top card in the Spotlight packs this season. Maybe worse.
'Swaggy V' is a disappointment. Ask any Met fan if they've run out of patience for him and Alvarez. -
At least your chance of naturally pulling a Spotlight card is WAY higher than Chase or Headliner.
And I tend to agree that making stubs in this game isnt very hard. If you only play twice a week, you're gonna struggle - if you play regularly and are a decent online player, theres no struggle.

It will go down. As more people open packs and find him. I am not sure how much it will drop, but it will eventually.
