Ws this Year

Whike the mods system is cool and boosts some usually unusable cards, it also has made SDS make cards less attractive in general. Look at 75% of one side hitting cards. Most UNLESS you put a mod on are unusable on anything higher then All-star because of vision being nerfed on cards this year. So while the mods system is nice, them using it to not make good usable card to bieggin with it an easy opt out for them to just blaim players.

They made some Topps Now and Spotlight cards that really banged for the first time in a long time.
It's a shame most ignore them because there have been some absolute belters.

I agree. Though I do think at this point in the year they should make the remaining TN cards a 99. I’ve had fun with some though throughout the year - and definitely with Spotlight cards.

@Rhyno1986_XBL I think that’s more about how they’re handling power creep this year. We got to 99s pretty quickly, but most have been on the lower end of the meta. Seems like the strategy is to gradually release more juiced 99s as the year goes on. Not sure that this is related to the parallel mods, even though there’s been a narrative around that idea.

WBC is maybe the best drop they have ever done. Great variety of cards and they were fun to use
Id also like to call out the WBC mini season as the different divisions gave variety when you repeated it multiple times
Getting rid of the no sell offline cards mid year in response to player feedback

@Bridge-Piece_XBL Agree completely.
No reason why they shouldn't be 99s, but some of my favourite cards this year have been Topps Now.
Amongst them Justin Crawford, Noah Schultz, Trent Grisham, Andrew Morris, Sung-Mun Song, Henry Bolte, Edwin Arroyo, Cole Carrigg, Cooper Hjerpe, Will Dion, Hagen Smith.

I forgot to mention that RoFlo's commentary addition has been legendary

Lol no it's because anymore the people working there don't care for the game. Why do you think soooo many of their team members have left un the last 2 years

Definitely watching the majority of the community participate in pack glitches that took away from SDSs bottom dollar and inflated the market on those that didn’t with zero repercussions or acknowledgement.
The surprise limit on the number of cards you can have was hilarious as well
-
@NotesOfJohn_PSN That 88 ovr TN Justin Crawford has entered the chat, I don't think I removed him until...couple weeks ago I think. That card amazing for getting on base.

Not even giving the heads up on that was an incredibly bad look for SDS. I think we would have been ok at 50...but going from unlimited to 20 was ugly. And hiding it from the community even worse optics.
