I don't think 70 is that old, tbh. This one hurt bad.
I know a lot of you on here are Hockey people as well, and know what Barry meant to the sport.
He was great on ESPN and will be missed.
I was rooting for the LA Kings when he coached them to the finals, with Gretzky, back then.
I had no idea that he never coached an NHL game before. That's crazy!
RIP, legend.

I enjoyed watching Melrose commentary on ESPN too. He will be missed.

Yea, this was a bummer. I grew up playing hockey, so Barry Melrose was a fixture in many ways. Huge loss for the hockey world.
