Stage 1 would have been better if it were future stars and Stage 2 was face of the franchise. Who wants to play with people we have no idea about with stage 3 opening up in months (early fall) at earliest.
Take for example the Yankees. Give us that pitcher Schmidt in Stage 1 with a 88/89 card and Torres be the Face of the Franchise and give him a 91 or something.
Feels backwards.
And with the event why are face of the franchise players included?!?! It’s a futures event.. I don’t think Yadier Molina is considered a future star.
I think it should have been strictly prospect cards and any silvers and below. But that makes too much sense.

It's just pretend. Imagine complaining over some fantasy cards in a pretend baseball game. We should just be grateful they allowed us the opportunity to buy their product before the apocalypse. Everything else is just gravy at this point.

Absolutely agree. Content choices this year are head scratchers to say the least.
Their use of the tools they have created (rookie, breakout, etc.) are such unfulfilled potential every year I find..
But this year is really bad so far.
I can understand having to use previous monthly awards because of Covid-19. But do we need classics? Or trash can 99 George Springer as a endgame reward!?! Wtf....We have 2 diamond Nick freaking Madrigals (one being rated as good as Mike Trout) and Bo Bichette is a 75...
Their content creation team is lost. With the most potential of any sport in front of them

I agree and disagree with the posts. I agree that faces of the franchise should have been nixed from the event. Should have been prospect cards and bronze cards to counter common bullpens. And as for people complaining about the prospect cards the point is to make a card of what that player potential might be if he pans out, to engage people who follow baseball who know who these prospects are and gives a change of pace to the game. These arnt run of the mill prospects these are teams most coveted players that they think will be huge contributors in the coming years. It’s to let u play with what could be in the future and put them with ur favorite players and see how they would stack up. I don’t understand the point in hating so hard. And it’s a free event dont play it if it irritates u that much. They are giving u free cards just for winning you are forced to do nothing else haha

The game could drop and give everyone every single card and have no market place or earning of cards and people would still complain. “Omg everyone’s got the best cards now this is so dumb” haha
