lol I caved and watched. There is just no way this is real life:

“I consulted my Twitch chat [of 12 year olds] and they assured me it’s okay. [so really that means your bans are all entirely your own faults for telling me it’s okay].”
(To avoid any confusion the brackets are reading between the lines)

I feel like he’s memeing or something. I can’t believe a grown man would think this way.

The word that applies to describe this behavior is "mendacious." People who cheat in a video game are disturbed in serious ways. A video game after all is fantasy. I repeat that word because, sadly, there are just way too many humans who fail to grasp the truth that ALL video games are FANTASY.

Therefore, to cheat to play a video game is cheap and vain to extremes, but when it violates clearly established copyrights and protection of intellectual property, then it is also criminal. Don't seek integrity from those who willingly commit crimes. Yes, there is the one in a million case where a person commits a crime out of desperation. But, even that fails to apply here, as again we are talking about a fantasy game -- hardly the stuff of putting food on your family's table!

These people desperately need a "get real" moment. This banning might be one. But, mendacious deflection is where they hang their hats first. As I wrote before, we will never read words written by any of these banned people saying, "I was banned for violating SDS terms of service and I earned the ban."

I can't tell if they think they are smart or just think their followers are dumb. Both?

They basically say stub resales have been happening since 2021. This was around the time they all said come hang w/ me and play this game because it's not like EA or 2K in here. So, then they proceed to steal from and then encourage others to steal from this particular company of all companies and THEN say it's all SDS's fault because they have been dropping the ball since around...wait for it...2021!

Maybe SDS had to make cuts and drop all the balls because of you...?!?! Ever think of that? Just had to skim off their stubs income because money from streaming their product just wasn't enough. Then, they get banned and essentially ask their followers to ask "Why would SDS do this?" LOL

It might all be related. The WBC glitch meant more to them because they made money off of selling/transferring the stubs. They encouraged their followers to do the glitch because they most likely get a cut any stub transfers gained through their sponsorship. They might even have been buying stubs to get the best cards to stream with. I highly doubt SDS bans a single account because of a sponsorship. They did it because the stub transactions are all on their ledger for that account, and if not, the consoles/IP addresses with a password change right after a significant boost in stubs is all there. Not very smart. Especially if they did do it on their main accounts...? Yikes! Cheating software might also be related because that's how you farm the cards/stubs to sell.

Why SDS waited this long is beyond me. Maybe it finally got to a critical mass when...wait for it...streamers took the sponsorships (which are still apparently active if you look at the YouTube comments). If anything, this has been entertaining!

Show zone put out a tweet of the company asking them over and over again if they would be interested in being sponsored. They turned them down over and over again. Good folks over there at showzone

This is nothing new. Is there any game that has an in game market and virtual currency that won't ban you for purchasing from 3rd parties?

Gold sellers are a bane on most MMOs.

Dude the CCs are still promoting the sites. Are they stupid? Like is something actually broken in their brains?

Sony can and should go after the third-party stub sites themselves, and even creators who knowingly promote them for affiliate money, especially when they’re encouraging players to violate the game’s TOS.

Sue them into the ground. Then let’s see people try this again in the future.

IP Bans. That would make them stop.

@Bridge-Piece_XBL I see the ban wave as both positive- and negative. The positive is SDS is very publicly making a statement that this type of tomfoolery won't be tolerated.

However, the negative is that the "3 year ban" apparently is only for MLBTS 26- so it's really effectively only a 6-7 month account ban they'll be right back to this nonsense for next year's release.

@sds_joek_psn without going into great detail, can you tell us if it's 3 years for the series, or just '26?

IP & console bans on people buying. But I would for sure take legal action against the 3rd party sites & the content creators promoting them.

During the last stub sale I bought a $100 worth of stubs since I was close to Beltran. Bought them from the game, now way I'm using a third party site as in my eyes that is cheating just as bad as using King/Hader or anything else. I'm glad these people got banned, but it should have been an IP ban as it seems all these people have 10 accounts anyway. I love how the content creators that promoted the sites are trying to justify it by saying they were told how safe it was.

In my humble opinion they don't give a [censored] about the people who thought it was okay since big youtubers were doing it, they just wanted their payday. One especially comes to mind and he ain't my friend. Maybe a harsh take by me but these people screwed the marketplace with their cheating. Buy the ticket, take the ride as Hunter S. Thompson once said.

If you genuinely got banned for flipping on the market, that is a bit different. I hope SDS can review your account and see your transactions and unban you. I do feel bad for you guys. But getting a million stubs for like $10 and getting all the good cards while the rest of us grind, or as I said I did spend money to finish Beltran I view that as plain old cheating.

@SupermansCousin_PSN they won't review it. You'll simply get a canned response with a date and item, which it sounds like you received... that's pretty much the end of it. At least it has been for me. Welcome to the caught in the botfire club.

@theBlindRhino_PSN I occasionally fire up 25, but I hadn't touched CFB27 since I got it in July, so that's what I am doing.

No desire to start over, unfortunately.

TheRealJSpit_PSN I've put in over 1300 hours into this game according to my PlayStation I grind hard and earn my stubs I just want to talk to someone so they can review this and get this fixed. This is really frustrating and disappointing. If someone from SDS could just reach out I think this would be an easy no brainer to over turn. I just need someone to give me the time of day.
