How is the Community Market feeling? (4)

@Manu__SDS_MLBTS Now I’m really hesitant to even use the website because of the new verification restrictions. If I keep getting stuck on requests on app or hitting 503s on website, could that potentially trigger another cooldown? I’m being extremely careful right now, but I’m worried I could accidentally click something wrong during the verification process and get hit with a cooldown anyway.
I didn't run into this today, but should I be worried about it happening if I use the website during that time?
I'm honestly pretty nervous about using it now because I don't want to be halfway through selling and suddenly get hit with a restriction. The website is also constantly asking for verification, so I find myself checking the app repeatedly to see if it's working again. At least if I can get the orders posted, I can adjust the prices later when the app is usable again.
Every weekend when there's a game update, the app tends to lag badly from around 10 PM to 1 AM CT. If the app becomes unusable during that time, I really need the website to remain usable as a backup.

I’m experiencing bot activity at similarly high rates that matches the majority of the year.
Most margins on cards have dried up and the player market is ruled by bots again after the brief respite after the update last week. I Appreciate the communication @manu__sds_mlbts hoping for another update this next week. Thank you!

the current restriction might set you back for 30 seconds (or 60 if you don't see the first cooldown warning) but there is nothing else "permanent" that will happen automatically
Every weekend when there's a game update
App and Website are affected by the same server cycles
-
@Manu__SDS_MLBTS That’s good to know, thanks! I was mainly worried that repeatedly refreshing or trying again while the server is lagging could lead to something more serious.
I feel better about using the website now. I’ll see how it behaves during the next update.

The margins have dried up because there is no bots. Bots were creating the margins.
-
@Beaterrr_XBL I don’t think this is true at all. At least when it comes to player cards. More bots means the margins get smaller and smaller as the bots repeatedly underbid/overbid the human offers. Plus it’s really easy to see how active the bots are right now. I can send proof on any card with a positive margin right now.
-
This is 100% the case. Bots destroy margins and they open up once bots are disabled via the update.
-
Market was doing great but the bots are coming back strong as usual. Posting hundreds of orders on 2026 all star cards alone and completely crashing margins and manipulating the market. Appreciate the effort to combat them but eliminating non console transactions would fix this as no one is gonna putt in 700 orders manually at 5555 stubs. Pressing a single button 700 times just makes it way too easy.
-
It's taking forever to place orders, a lot of fetching data wheel spinning. It's making me dizzy bro watching that wheel spin.

Last week’s changes got rid of a lot of bots activity but it is not enough. There should be ZERO bots active in the marketplace. Look at all the cards that are won on diamond quest in the marketplace. They all have bots. They have always all had bots.
Please give an update on what’s happening with anti bot measures. I think I’m getting the picture that it’s not a priority. Updates are good but action is better. I know that there is more that can be done and for whatever reasons sds dialed it back. Seems like sds gave up again or is fine with the amount of bots active atm. It’s really a disgrace how unprotected players are in this games marketplace. Some of them spend real money to get stubs that get spent in an ecosystem corrupted by bots operated by thieves.

Hey @manu__sds_mlbts , noticed last night significant bot activity on the silvers. Looks like they've moved down to try and avoid suspicion. Instantaneous one-up bids and undercuts, then removed just as fast once humans remove their bid.
-
@manu__sds_mlbts hope you’re doing well! Any update before the weekend would be greatly appreciated.

Hey SDS bots on everything in the market, you are failing miserably, they are laughing at you.

I don't think the bots have feelings...

Turning on the game after a long day and checking the market. I see 2 cards with sell prices higher then normal so I put in bids to sell mine only to be instantly outbid by 1 stub. INSTANTLY. Seriously WT F. Why is this tolerated? Google makes tools for apps in the play store to prevent things like this. It just needs to be configured and I’m sure an account such as sds would just need to ask for their help. Apple makes similar tools except the bot traffic for this game comes from android emulators - which are advertised by more active marketing departments then this company has. Could probably ask Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft for assistance also because all of their platforms get abused through your game.
-
I’ve been saying it for months. They need to disable all non console transactions. That means none thru the app and none thru internet browsers.
Yes, it means honest players lose some flexibility but it also means the bots are no longer viable. The conservative management of this problem has not and is not working.
-
The app is painfully slow
-
Bots are driving down all the prices slowly but surely. Another sweep is needed.
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN I could see the botters just using emulators or ps remote play and setting up similar scripts

Anyone still listening here? The market feels BAD. Really bad. Really, really bad. Not even sure how it’s possible but managing to get worse everyday. Today’s new twist has been thousands of sell bids posted for Dustin pedroia or whoever 2/3rds of what his cost was yesterday. Kind of exactly like what happened with Otani all star card but this has been going on for 9+ hours. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you about that though.
In terms of the APP the app is working well. The only problem is it’s connected to the marketplace for the show 2026 and it’s an unmonitored disaster filled with bots that are impossible to compete with. I think it’s a problem but it feels like it’s not being treated as a problem.
