Xp.

I'm the only one that finds getting xp really difficult? there is no more xp for playing the game its only from missions
-
They nerfed xp on games and missions. Missions are about a third what they were in the past. Same with the single games

About 3, maybe four releases ago they very quietly and without mentioning anything, cut game-earned XP in half. Ironically enough, that was the first year after the staff turnover at SDS.
-
@Sarge1387_PSN probably cuz it was way too easy
-
Yeah and since then I feel like they have cut it more. The amount of grinding required is insane. You used to be able to play the game casually and get most of the cards. Now you either need to spend money, grind your life away, be elite at the game, or some combination of all 3. It’s kinda ridiculous.
-

Nah, the XP paths were also 2 times longer. It was change for the sake of change/beginning of the push towards an MTX based model.
-
@Sarge1387_PSN it was super easy even with the big paths. This game should never cater to people who play the game for maybe 30minutes and get off. Could they they make some changes sure.
-
The number one goal was to make more money and the way to do that was to increase microtransactions and minimize the number of NMS players. I understand the business side of it but it’s the opposite of player friendly.
As for the guy that said it was too easy. This game is far from easy for 90% of the player base or more. Anyone that feels it is too easy needs to get a life outside of the game. Catering to the minority is never a smart move.
It’s well known that even on rookie this game plays way harder than any other sports game. The CPU can still dot with common pitchers even on lower difficulties. A disproportionate number of squared up balls find a glove. Bottom line the game plays tough and you can make it as hard as you want it to be.
If Legend or GOAT is too easy for anybody it’s time to touch some grass.
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN it is easy but if you don’t actually put any time in and expect it to just workout. Then you wont get anything. They made the boss even lower this time. You telling that it’s that hard to get 300000xp in a month. The problem is some of you just want it to be super easy to where you play every so often and get the same as everyone else who actually takes time to play the game. I’m not saying you specifically just people in general. Is it hard to be great at the game sure but it’s not hard to earn in this game.
-

But you're also forgetting they used to do WAY more double XP events too, which is likely why it was "too easy"(for maybe 10% of the player base). You've gotta remember maybe the top 5%-7% of players reach WS- if they made that decision because five to seven percent of players thought it was too easy, they're in far bigger trouble and way more out of touch than we thought.
I 100% get what you're saying, but it definitely wasn't the majority of people who thought it was too easy. I think reverting the XP back, and making the paths maybe 650k with a heavier emphasis on grindable programs-both online and off(MS, vs CPU, Conquest etc, maybe bring back the ability to play other created teams again) would be a good middle ground.
-
@Sarge1387_PSN I wish they would post numbers of total numbers of players vs how many make the boss. They should add more double xp. And they could add those certian programs. But you should just get things on here from barely playing enough just to say you own the game. There also isn’t as many people who don’t make unless they don’t want to . Ie players who have stated they play the game less, barely play, or play on lower levels only. You want it be fair so make it fair.
-
You want it be fair so make it fair.
But that's the problem- SDS caters to the top, let's say 10%ers. I understand what you're saying and I agree you shouldn't be getting something for nothing, there's got to be some middle ground here. SDS also can't take the stance that just because many of those top guys are streamers means they speak for the majority, right? For obvious reasons.
I play a couple hours every night, more on the weekends when I can...but I can't always grind my nuts off either. There has to be a happy medium here somewhere
-
@Sarge1387_PSN I feel like a majority of this game can’t be higher than 600 for the most part. The majority isn’t 300 rated players. And they shouldn’t cater to players who barely play the game. No one below 600 is in the top 10 percent. 300-600. But even if you aren’t good you can still get most of the same things just by simply playing more. I’m not ever in the high ranks and finish the xp path easy just by playing.
-
Likely first year where I've NEVER EVER earned any inning bosses because they minimized xp so badly. There usually is a trend where they finally find the right balance. 300k is the right balance but not enough xp bonuses to obtain it offline anymore and mini seasons is a hit or miss....you could have no issues or issues half way in. SDS killed the offline player base for sure and I don't see it coming back since they want only online players
-
Not at all. I guess if you don’t play online then yes. I finish xp path pretty fast. I wouldn’t say I am heavy user. I do play more during weeks I work night shift though.
-
@Apolloz_99_MLBTS exactly. Most of the players are between 400 and 600. I'm like the BlueJays- perpetually .500 or a handful of games below- and I'm ok with that.
-
Last full weekend for the inning means we can expect Double XP weekend this Friday.
-
@alvarezmiguel797-_MLBTS Try the new showdown. quit out of game one. Game two will be 250-0. You get about 1k XP for every 10 runs you score and its extremely easy. im terrible at the game and ill get around 40 runs each time. now, if they have a double xp weekend, thats gonna be 8k xp every time
