June countdown yikes

People they barely play the game shouldn’t be the target audience. I think some of yall are throwing the word causal out there too loosely.
-
I can’t believe I’ve been defending SDS for a day. I think my first post this season was like “fire the menu guy”
I was drunk but point still stands I hope they fired him
I just don’t understand why everyone is so miffed
I also yell at trees
-
@Ledfoot_19_PSN I’ll stop you right there - people who only play online cannot in fact earn every player (because quite a few are locked behind conquest, mini seasons, and showdowns)
True but they have that option. Offline content this year can be completed in a couple of hours. 9 inning 7 game mini season will net you the players before you finish it. Either way it's their choice. Some offline players have no choice be it not a good enough connection or not good enough to achieve the offline goals. There is a very big difference so I stand by my point, they made some cards completely unattainable for offline players while online players CAN ACHIEVE the offline cards if they want to.
-
@Ledfoot_19_PSN you also have the option to play online. Unless you are one of the few who have T-Mobile, which isn’t on us. Also not every offline card is even obtainable after one mini seasons game. Some of those players have missions you have to complete to get the next.

I'm more weirded out than miffed. The "what's behind the next curtain" aspect makes me feel really...weird...cringe...like they're dangling a carrot on a stick because they need money.
It's just a game, but unveiling a limited time program out of nowhere and then the program itself is locked behind a veil of see it after you start it just feels....exploitive? Dude, I have limited time too, just let me see it so I can decide what I want to play lol.
I'm really not trying to be dramatic. It's just a video game...but that's exactly why I think it should have just been dropped into the new content schedule and not to the tune of "stay tuned for a surpriiiiiise" and not walled behind two more curtains. Like just drop it out there like every other program.
It just feels weird. It doesn't feel like a video game at all. It's certainly not fun for me. I'm trying it, and it's meh.

You're wrong some people don't have the option because they'll never achieve the offline goals required if their connection is not great or they aren't good onlind. So sure they can waste their time trying online, that's an option but ALL the offline cards are obtainable for offline if they want to do it. And a 9 inning game on rookie in mini seasons will net you all the players before you finish it. I've done it in every mini season so far

@lorangejuice_MLBTS The FOMO-ness is out of control for this countdown program I 100% agree
-
@Ledfoot_19_PSN I'm basically an offline player. I completed most of the other event programs but I'm out on this one. The cards are still available to me. I just have to buy them. For my own sanity, I'm viewing the in the same light as Harper, Leiter and even some Spotlight pack players. I have now way of attaining every one unless I use stubs on them. But I at least have that option.
Getting every mini season player is a pain in the [censored]. Getting XBH with player X to get player Y, etc. That does suck for a player who doesn't enjoy playing offline and that player shouldn't be forced that direction. SDS should allow people to play in a manner that is enjoyable to the customer without gatekeeping rewards. Just my opinion.
-
Only play 7 game/3 innings and let it roll over
None of the rewards are game or inning gated so just play it fast and furious to get to the miniseasons pack
Trust me it’s a great grind
If you just want Cardinals pxp do the New Threads, as the big reward is the 5 balling golds for 100 strikeouts
Or whatever theme team you want new threads
Most money per time spent is in summer miniseasons. Get your Lou to P5
And get used to Lou because the first 17 packs will be him or Torre for 4750
But, you may hit that Greene or Castro
Or see Red and get Wilson. Again
-
Hyped ourselves up too much. All good
-
@Ledfoot_19_PSN even the worst players can get some progress outta this program. Also your skill level has no bearing on this conversation. That’s just a cop out.

Well I wasn't talking about me personally and trust me you make very good points but in my opinion, and thats all it is, this years release heavily favors the online player. Look how many offline people couldn't finish the 2nd inning program. I completed 100% of the offline content and fell short. First time thats ever happened.

Whats all this t mobile bad internet stuff I keep hearing. Cant you just change your internet provider. Its 2026? Or is that the only internet available in some areas.
-
@SpawnOfDitka_XBL you could change or just not play certain programs/events. Some people say they can’t stay online with t-mobile on this game.

I almost fell for the T-Mobile deal until I researched it. It's absolutely the worst internet service since dial up. Absolutely not possible to play any online game with it. It's embarrassing for them to even offer it
-
You get free MLB package streaming, on T-mobile. Viewing
It doesn’t translate to the show. Everyone who plays MLB the show on T-Mobile somehow can’t connect to game, at least for an online try
It’s an ISP thing there’s a certain problem with T-Mobile. Been going on for years
Also do note they wouldn’t be on t-mobile if there were other options. These people aren’t clueless
So in a way maybe it’s irony, that MLB pushes T-Mobile so everyone can watch but they just can’t play
It’s why I sometimes wonder who to stab, SDS or MLB

@Ledfoot_19_PSN watch out for the porch poachers lol they will walk by trying to get you on their fiber optics.
