Easy fix to BOT problem

The problem is that the app is convenient for non bot users. I would hate to get rid of the marketplace functionality on the app.
Do we know that the app is the medium by which the bots work?

They should get rid of the app as it will kill off some bots. But then it would just create another issue with non stop complaints

“Bot” is the catch all phrase for “automation” code. Basically, a program is constantly checking on prices of cards, auto-buying, and auto-selling cards for users without them needing to be present.

The bots be working over time today…I think I was watching two go back and forth over the cool papa bell bat…absolutely nuking the margin it had in the process.

I'm really becoming of the mind that these bots aren't doing this just to mess with the customers. I'm thinking they are doing it to destroy the integrity of the community market as an act of pseudo warfare against SDS. And while I certainly have my issues with SDS, and make that clear here many times, robbing the joy of this game from paying customers is a deplorable way to try to make a point!
I also think that SDS is powerless to do anything about it. If they take any action at all, for each account they ban, ten more will appear and start the disruption anew. It's a sad situation, and is just one reason among many for why smart corporations try to avoid angering their customers, especially in this day and age where people have an outsized influence due to social media and how it has become so easy to hack computer code with malicious intent.

I think this could work, just not sure if SDS has the coding capability.

I always enjoy the conspiracy theories.
More than likely it is the companies that sell 3rd party stubs that use the bots the most. They have more than likely found a way to just keep making accounts as quickly as SDS restricts them
Then there are those who cheat in others ways. I would not put botting past anyone who uses a device to cheat or exploits a bug hundreds of times in the wee hours of the morning
