So it’s not Mauer it’s votto?
-
Man, I feel like I am losing my touch. I have not seen anything teased yet.
-
The leaked names were all accurate, so I highly believe Mauer was the initial plan
Because of that, yes SDS has likely pivoted. To my knowledge Votto is not in the game. The OBP clue, Victor Martinez fits and that’s my guess

What was the clue? Where did they post it?

2nd half of the 2006 Season Joe Mauer had .409 OBP....
-
@LIONED-33_XBL the clue is OBP, not AVG

MLB Players with Exactly a .409 Single-Season On-Base Percentage
Because MLB history spans over 150 years, thousands of players have qualified for single-season leaderboards, but finishing a season at exactly .409 puts a player in some incredibly elite company. For context, the modern MLB average typically hovers around .315 to .320.
Here are some of the most notable, qualified single seasons where a player finished right on the .409 mark:
- Víctor Martínez (2014, Detroit Tigers): V-Mart had an unbelievable 2014 campaign, finishing 2nd in AL MVP voting. He led the American League with an exact .409 OBP, pairing it with 32 home runs and walking significantly more times (70) than he struck out (42).
- Edgar Martinez (1996, Seattle Mariners): The legendary DH was an absolute OBP machine. While he led the league in other years with marks north of .450, his stellar 1996 season settled right at .409—a year where he batted .327 and drew 85 walks.
- Paul Molitor (1993, Toronto Blue Jays): During Toronto's World Series championship run, Molitor was the engine of the lineup. He finished the regular season with a .409 OBP and racked up 211 hits.
- Wade Boggs (1991, Boston Red Sox): Boggs is one of the most disciplined hitters to ever live. In '91, a slightly "down" year by his astronomical standards still resulted in an exact .409 OBP with 89 walks.
Fun Fact: Legendary Careers at .409
While those are individual seasons, the number .409 is also the exact career OBP for two of the game's all-time greats:- Joey Votto: Finished his incredible 17-year career with an exact lifetime .409 OBP.
- Jackie Robinson: Over his iconic 10-year career with the Brooklyn Dodgers, Robinson posted a lifetime .409 OBP.

I’d be shocked if they actually pivot. I don’t think they have the rights to Votto. Bergman/Sale was leaked weeks before the drop. The last few drops were leaked with perfect accuracy. SDS is lazy and completely incapable of a pivot like this. It’s Mauer and this is their attempt to confuse the embarrassment of the leak.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN I dispute the interpretation of the hint, ‘cause I think it would’ve been a great clue to use to hide him if we didn’t already know who it was (I doubt I would have figured it out on my own, personally)
-
They do a lot of these based on seasons too and Mickey Mantle had a season where he had an on base of 409 just saying
-
@Dolenz_PSN Mantle, not sure the year though, after looking up Mantle I could only find a .408, maybe another source rounded that up lol, idk
-
Someone literally leaked these drops and so far is 100% on them. Mauer is the last guy leaked.
-
Do u think this was a last minute pivot after the Mauer got leaked or do u think the leak was false?
If it is Votto it would technically be a new legend and as much as I know SDS keeps us in the dark these days I don't expect a new legend this time. It's going to be Mauer
-
What if they gave false internal info to weed out the leaker! That would be awesome!

-
@JDHalfrack_PSN So they leaked like 10 players just to fool us on 1?

@JDHalfrack_PSN So they leaked like 10 players just to fool us on 1?
Yeah… good point. I don’t think they’d put that much work into it.
-
I'd give them credit if they pivot...SDS is not the pivoting type.
Also, these leaks are gonna keep happening- so add "secret info" to "bots" and "cheaters" and "glitches" on the Family Feud board for Reasons Why The Market is Broken
-
Can you even imagine the glitches and lags that would be caused by them even attempting to change or fix something? Not happening.
-
@rubicante23_PSN These guys plan most content weeks if not months in advance. Thats why nothing is cohesive. Thats why they never balance cards for all teams.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN the embarrassment is making Mauer the legend in the first place. I thought miggy was a boring pick, this is worse. Twins fans will be stoked, but its just silly.
Im in the 800s and I never see anyone using miggy, and nobody is giving up on posads for mauer. It shoudl have been someone with name recognition. They should have swapped 99 collection mauer with the new 96 Darren oday.
