Still no fix for WBC Mini Seasons?
-
@GoozeFn_PSN Yep, you're right.
Their silence and inactivity speaks volumes about their priorities and care for the community.
It's so sad because I was a 2K refugee last year and loved how much better SDS were.
Something changed after how poorly 2023 was received even though it was still quite player friendly and rewarding to play. 2024 was was a significantly worse version of expiring cards, and had way less content. And then 2025/2026 went to the buy 100s of cards to complete 58 different collections model with dried up programs/xp path.
Its still about 1,000x more player friendly than 2K though somehow.
-
Were they silent though? They really, really wanted to refute the claims in the chat saying today's stream was prerecorded. Um...ok? Then, Ashley threw her hands up and said there's just a lot of arguing online right now.
Did they just call us all out? Like they couldn't be bothered with any of us?
If so, now I'm sitting over here like YFK asking why Ashley? I defended you!
Message received? Yeah, it's time to dip out lol

That says more about 2K than it does SDS, though.I walked away from 2K 18 months ago after playing it for well over a decade and really enjoyed a more user friendly game where i didnt need to drop a ton of money to compete.
Whilst the latter is still possible, the game and SDS are no longer user friendly.
I need to find a style of game that isn't sport.

Meanwhile, you go into Classic Mini Seasons and you're facing 96 overall teams, teams that have 95+ at every position (their 7, 8 and 9 are Pujols, Ketel and Ted Simmons) and a rotation with 95 DeGrom as the lowest rated card.
Ridiculous.
-
@NotesOfJohn_PSN 100% - the only thing that sells sports games these days is the sports themselves

That's how it's always been. I don't think this is an issue.
Fixing WBC needs to be fixed. But all of the other talk in here is just cluttering the space.
-
@NotesOfJohn_PSN I dont care that you're playing good players - but they seem to have really cranked up the difficulty sliders too. I am hitting a lot of balls right on the screws and getting nothing - feels like the grinding has been nerfed. My usual 7 runs per three-inning game on hof is more like "fight and claw for 3 runs" right now
-
@rubicante23_PSN you mean you have to actually grind now instead of putting up 15 runs in 3 innings
-
Just finished my 4th mini seasons winning championship and not receiving the 10 pack bundle. Submitted 2 tickets. I was trying to get JRam before playing WC games but very annoying playing all these games for a few packs. I have restarted game and PS5 and it just gets stuck on the last game wanting me to play it over and over.
-
Just Switch to the DQ bunt method. Nearly 60K per hour once u get the hang of it. You’ll get the stubs to buy anyone u want.
-
Maybe everyone is way better than I am, but I score maybe 3 - 4 runs if I am lucky in any game. Usually 1 to 2 runs. but yes I think this year's game it's significantly harder to score
-
@victoryphoenix_PSN I agree but I also find myself swinging at ridiculously bad pitches. I’m finding the AI is horrible with pitch location but I’m also at fault for swinging at them.
-
@ELDON179X_PSN Thank you for this.
-
@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS well, its not the biggest deal - its not like it makes the mode hard or anything.
Its just that I used to scoff at people when they accused sds of subtly moving difficulty sliders up and down - now its clear to me that this is a thing, and its kind of a sneaky annoying thing
-
I guess I’m just not experiencing this. With my good team, I can score 2 runs at least per inning. Over the last week I’ve probably had three or four games where I’ve put up close to or over 30 runs (9 inning games; I’m not good enough to do that in 3 innings).
Do I still have a clunker here or there? Absolutely. I just lost to Seattle 1-0 in a 3 inning game in extras. It was with a test team, so that might have to do with it, but even with some of my stat testing I use all sub 60 players and still usually score a few runs.
What is it you actually think is happening behind the scenes?
-
@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS Ah, there's always one.
-
@rubicante23_PSN I've definitely noticed it's more challenging than it was prior.
I'm not surprised.
If you're not going to claw back your losses from cheating, you'll claw them back some other way. -
@NotesOfJohn_PSN I mean it’s not a grind if you constantly putting 15 runs a game. If you want to disagree that’s your opinion.
-
It doesn't feel any harder to me. I feel like I am playing about the same on veteran.
That said, my current mini season run is stuck on game 21. I already have enough wins to make the post season but can't get there due to a bug.
But hey why should I expect to play the mode legitimately and earn the reward even after so many others abused the glitch and earned hundreds of rewards in less time invested
-
Were they silent though?
Just from my own experience, albeit different industry, but experience seeing companies try to hiude their struggles- I think SDS is in deep financial trouble, so they're trying not to show it by more or less ignoring anything that might hurt them in additional financial ways.
They really, really wanted to refute the claims in the chat saying today's stream was prerecorded.
If I didn't know any better, I would think that was 100% a line to throw us off the scent that it may have indeed been pre-recorded. "Trying too hard" comes to mind
