The meta is exhausting
-
@On_a_Power_Trip_PSN We can disagree, but when I see people clammering for every single meta card, dashboarding and entering 8hr long freeze offs, I'd call that mega toxic.
-
This game does play a lot better with silver and gold hitters, though - it kinda goes off the rails when every card is a mega-juiced diamond with bionic arms and legs...
DD would be better with a modified hitting machine from the rest of the game - but that'll never happen
-
DD would be better with a Budget Rank of 82 rating.
Make team builders choose their teams strengths and weakness.Have two online divisions.
Unlimited. And 82 Overall.
Bench players and 6th inning arms are not all 90+ rated cards.
Kind of real. -
@NotesOfJohn_PSN is all that happening so often you’d call it part of the meta? I’m asking fr cause I’m not good enough to compete in the HOF and Legend tiers so idk
Cause I was just referring to the pitch spamming and overreliance on ‘meta’ cards, which is largely SDS’s fault at the end of the day
-
@RazorForte45_XBL I think I prefer the salary cap idea, partly because having a Diamond Dynasty mode where you can never use any diamonds is kinda funny to me - I also don’t love setting the bar at 82 cause they never release that many cards that low that aren’t LS (though this year is an exception because WBC)
-
Just my opinion, but if you offered me one thing I could choose to change, it would be to remove the outer PCI
I think that eliminates your foul ball/tip issues and increases the skill gap. But they won’t do it. They’re afraid that people striking out leads to abandoning the game
Remove the outer PCI, and remove shrinkage and I think you improve gameplay immensely
-
@doobiebross66-72_PSN they’re right to be afraid of that tbf lol
-
@On_a_Power_Trip_PSN yep, and thats the problem - there would be a ton of people striking out all the time.
A better solution might be if like half the foul balls became "weak in play contact" - so the ball is in play and you have a low chance at getting on
-
Step one - nerf the sinker a lot and the cutter a little, buff the curve
Agreed...or at the very least, make it flatten out like it actually does if it's tossed at the top of the zone.
Step two - stop the foul tips on bad swings
This I'm on the fence about. IRL bad swings or "emergency hacks" are a thing, getting just enough to foul a pitch off. I 100% understand where you're coming from and what you're getting at.
Step three - reduce the home runs a lot, make them extra base hits
Agreed...especially on out of the zone pitches. I give up a ton of HR on pitches way out of the zone.

It is same every game switch hitters at coors with either leiter Hernandez or any other sinker cutter good reverse split pitchers there is absolutely negative diversity in this game.
