    I'm about 350k but I haven't tried to finish it or I would. Definitely easier than last time though.

    This highlights the biggest problem with XP this year. I have had the same routine for years which is to play roughly 5 hours per session about 3-4 times per week. In years past I would earn 20-25K XP of game XP in a typical session. This year I'm getting about 10k for the same amount of time played.

    There's never anything on the XP path that I covet other than potentially selling the final bosses if I get there. The 85 Live Series was a decent reward but I knew ahead of time that I was gonna get an 85 before I reached that point (which I did, Jacob Wilson).

    Personally, I'm shifting to playing less overall but more online. The offline grind isn't worth it at all for me anymore and I don't have the stamina nor time to play extensively online. Probably better for me anyway, need more mental stimulation lol.

    @dfwrazorback_MLBTS what are you playing for 5 hrs and only getting 10k. You could win a mini season and get more than that.

    Ladies and gentlemen, if you’re not getting the final XP reward each inning it’s due to one of two things:

    1. Not playing enough. Which is fine. Some of us are grown adults who don’t want or need to be playing video games as much as I, also a grown adult, do. But if this is you, don’t complain. The fix is to play more, as it really should be. You get rewarded for playing, not existing.

    2. Not being efficient with your play time. I’ve mentioned this numerous times in other threads, but you should be able to meet the XP requirements just by playing mini seasons. Just by repeating conquests. Things like that. Honestly, efficient plays vs. CPU games could work.

    Now I will admit, there could be a whole number of reasons why either reason one or two are happening, but “lack of content“ and “it’s too hard“ or pretty much any other reason are not legitimate complaints when it comes to not completing the XP path.

    The bonus XP rewards for mini seasons and conquests aren't repeatable. I have completed every mini season so when I replay one for the other repeatable rewards the XP I get from just game XP is about 10k in a typical evening which is about half what I would get in previous years. Again, I'm just talking about game XP and not the one off bonus XP from programs, conquests and mini seasons. As it happens I just got to 400k last night. Before this year I would have had multiple wheel spins by the end of an inning.

    After the Double XP weekend I hit 320k. Might have had a shot had they extended double XP through the end of the inning but alas.

    I have believed all year that they are trying to force people to play online. If you don't play online, you have almost no chance of completing the xp path. They have drifted so far from play how you want, and it's so disappointing

    I hate that they told yall play how you want lol. You can absolutely do that but you are leaving xp on the table. There was 238k of just offline programs/missons with the three mini seasons championships. And that’s without counting gameplay xp.

    Mini seasons, you can get the xp from only 1 time. So if you did them in a prior season, you're out of luck. I personally wish they would make the xp attainable again for mini seasons every inning as they do with pvp

    I have played zero online games this year. I went on a 4-day trip two weeks ago. I have a full time job, plus a wife and two kids that take my time also. I got the path done AND a bonus wheel spin already. I’m halfway to another spin. I just don’t get it. How are people not finishing it?

    The big test will be this upcoming path. I will be gone for 13 days in the middle of June. If I still end up getting the path, then I don’t know what to tell you all…

    I know for me personally I try to avoid any online play because of all the shenanigans, and I'm frankly not that good. I do know there's a ton of XP in the MP path as well, but I usually only play coop with a buddy...but that's been a gongshow all year so far with zero signs of improvement. The game itself being pretty bad has kind of pushed me away too.

    This inning in particular I was sick for about two weeks, also had a health scare with my heart which made me tired constantly...so I had zero energy to play. Side note, guys please for the love of god if anything's bothering you go check it out...forget that stigma of "toughing it out", please remember to take care of yourselves.

    Yes, it should always be said, that personal health should be a priority! No one should ever feel bad that they didn’t finish the next pee path because they were taking care of themselves!

    @DivineFury75_PSN you still get 238k. And you get xp for just playing the game. If you are determined to not playing online then you are making hard on yourself.

    Please be very specific. I assure you, I’m not trolling. Nor will I criticize. I play often. All offline modes. (Only play Showdown and DQ sparingly). On Veteran (strictly). I haven’t gotten anywhere near the bosses, much less a wheel spin. I had to buy the first two bosses (at 20k apiece)

    I’m telling you guys: miniseasons. I can break it down even more if someone can direct me as to how to figure out my breakdown. I know somewhere it says times I’ve played certain modes. But I don’t remember how to find that. I’ll even give a breakdown of what games I’ve played because I think that’s available also. Give me a bit. I’ll try to write down exactly what I do to get the XP I get.

    Mini season is 11 games (I win 5 and skip last two)
    I am not getting over 900 xp per game. Probably close to 800.

    But yes, more than 2k per hour.

    Alright, just a quick hours played update based on my online profile. I've played DD for just over 224 hours. I bought the early release option, so that's since March 13. That's 82 days, or about 2hrs 45 minutes per day on average. It's more like 6 hours on some days and then none on others (depending on my and my family's schedules). But that is the first thing. It really is about 2.5 to 3 hours per day that is needed to get the XP path without online play. If you can't do that, that's okay! Real life is ALWAYS more important than the XP grind. But it does take that sort of average time per day.

    Next, as I've said, if not doing Conquests/DQ/other program stuff, the grind is mini-seasons. Do the 3 inning mini-seasons for cards, but 9 inning mini-seasons for XP and PXP. You HAVE to pick the right stadium. Homeruns are the way of the world for better or worse, so you need HR friendly stadiums. I use a custom stadium called Neighborhood Park (shameless plug - I made it). It has VERY short dimensions. You need to do 9 innings because the starting pitchers, the first RP, and the CP are always the three toughest pitchers you'll face. You'll never (rarely) knock the SP out of a game in a 3 inning game. And even if you do, you might face a scrub pitcher for like 2 ABs. In a 9 inning game, you can knock the SP out by the end of the second inning (sometimes even first). Then it's all scrub RP (relatively speaking) until they sometimes bring in the closer. You can jack 15+ HRs per game.

    Some tips/advice:

    1. YOU get to chose the opposing team's pitcher. They will start the same pitcher slot you start. So, if you want to face their 4th pitcher (better rightly/lefty matchups let's say), then start your 4th pitcher. Some times that might mean you want to reshuffle your pithing rotation to get the guy you want starting in the right spot in your line up. Do it.
    2. NEVER GO FOR AN EXTRA BASE. If you are not sure that a single can be stretched into a double, I'll make it easier for you: IT CAN'T. Instead, anyone who is 60+ speed and 50+ (even 40+) steal should always be stealing 2nd if you get a single instead of a HR. Extra XP and PXP right there. Set your guy on first to steal second, and just take the pitch. Also, have a bench full of SPD/STL guys with a nice mix of positions. If you're fortunate, Chone Figgins is the perfect bench type player for example. Ian Happ (not as fast) is another.
    3. You should be striking out 20+ CPU players a game. Every strikeout is like 30XP give or take. Striking out the side is 90 without any extra hits or anything. So, striking out 20 players is 600 XP right there. Fastballs up and in, circle change and sliders away. You'll give up a few HRs too (it's seriously a HR friendly park), but the K's more than make up for it.
    4. If you're looking for extra PXP, take your starter out after the 6th and pitch a single, different pitcher for the last 3 innings. Pitching the last three innings of a baseball game counts as a save, regardless of the score or how many runs you give up (as long as you are winning and then win).

    Each game is roughly 35-45 minutes on average, and can give 2500 to 3500 XP. So in a given 2.5 hour span, I can play about 4 or 5 games. and get 10-15k XP. Include all the extra program XP and whatever, I have not had an issue getting the XP path in any month.

    Not sure any of this is helpful or not, but this is basically how I do it.

    @JDHalfrack_PSN Great post, but I think the point is it shouldn't have to be this way. Previous years you could play the offline content at a reasonable pace, have a variety of things to do, not even pay attention to the XP Path and then 'boom' oh wow I got the inning boss. Now it's finish the new content in an hour or two, then have to get back into the mini-season grind over and over (which I have done and still won't complete the Boss xp). It's just not fun for most people. TA was always one of my favorite things to do, I've already completed it this year by the 3rd Inning! (I'm talking about all the Jolt rewards not the stupid millions of Pxp for a few packs). Myself and I'm sure a lot of others are just apathetic now. We don't want to play online, we've accepted we won't get any of the boss cards, and we're bored of the cut and paste content.

    Thanks a million for your write up! I’ve started a 9-inning 28 game mini season (cityscapes). I can only do a game or two a night (but I’m ok with that).

    I play my home games at Coors Field. I occasionally score as many runs as you do, but usually in the 10-15 run range. Yes, speed on the bench. And yes, 3-inning saves.

    My question. What level do you play on? I’m veteran strictly. I suspect you play on a higher level than that.
