I'd say 17 because at that time i wasn't heavily as competitive and i started to become a decent player. Its between 19 and 17. In 19 i made it to the 1000 ratings in ws and played some of the top players in the game so maybe one of those two

2020 of course, its less arcady and casual noobs hate it, which is a good thing in my book.

You feel that way even with all the gameplay issues so far this year ? I never found any version of the a show to be arcady, it’s always leaned towards sim baseball ...

19 was the best combo of content and gameplay. This years fielding is AWFUL, balls bouncing off guys while they’re right under it and then can’t pick it up to throw it in and then when they finally do they throw with 0 urgency, it’s enough to drive anyone crazy. Saw Jeff McNeil beat Hunter Pence last night when a routine flyball went off the outfielders face.

17 was also my first DD year and I liked they gave offline gamers good DD programs like 'VS CPU' where you had 90 games to complete vs the cpu against all levels of difficulty. I wish they had brought that back.

I enjoyed 19 mainly because of the content. 20 is suffering since there is no season but the fielding is so broken. 17 had a lot of fielding issues too but they fixed those in 18 and 19. But in 20 it's back and I dont understand why its back since it was fixed the last 2 years.

Only started playing DD the past two years. Before that I only did RTTS and single games or maybe a season with a team. Got hooked on DD in 2018 because RTTS wasn't doing it for me. Became addicted. So, I had a lot of fun there, but I think last year's was my favorite (so far) out of the three years I've played DD.

I would say this year although hitting is very easy at least now if u square up a ball it causes damage. I remember after one of the patches in 2018 every squared up ball was a line out

in 18 there were so many patches that changed the game entirely. And it wasn't even close, you would notice right away. I remember on patch when you hit the ball it would fly like a wiffle ball. It just would float out for an out even if you hit it hard.

19s been my favorite so far. I didn’t get into DD until the tail end of 16, so I suppose I missed all of its greatness.

19 was the best because of content and a balancing act that allowed contact hitters to have value. Sure the game had some issues, but the rebalancing of '20 has brought gameplay back to the sorry state we hated in '18.

'16 had the best gameplay if you eliminate the bunting exploit. Content was nearly non-existent, but aside from the bunt cheese and ghost tagging things like the hitting engine and fielding were spot on.
