Biggest surprise of 2026 MLB Season
-
For me it is that Fernando Tatis Jr is still without a home run going into Friday's game. Will he hit one before June?
What has surprised the rest of you?
-
Jordan Walker's emergence
Cardinals early success -
The White Sox being a way better team than the mega pay roll Mets. But yes also Tatis struggling mightily, especially since he had a good WBC.
-
The Blue Jays roster of injuries.
Going into spring training, they had 8 starting pitchers. As it sits right now, they have 4. Berrios is done for the next 18 months. Bieber won't be ready until probably the end of June. Scherzer is just another thumb injury away from retirement and Lauer was so bad, he was DFA'd and ended up in L.A..
Add Barger, Lukes and Kirk (and Santander I suppose) and 1/4 of the roster has been on the IL at some point.
Combine that with the complete collapse of their offense and it's been a rough go.

Miguel Vargas looks like a superstar all of a sudden
