I don't know if Topps actually issued cards for other teams for the weekend rivalry series but is seems unlikely the White Sox, Mets and Yankees were it.

Those were arguably the two best series of the weekend, to be fair, and the crosstown element provides extra legitimacy to the rivalry idea, but yes, there is likely also some big-market bias here

Guess LA isn't big enough, I don't like the dodgers and it's the angels , but no LA....
I'm biased here but no Phils Pitt? sure it was one sided but coming on the heels of the big hockey rivalry series.... -
These dropping today ? Excited for that mune card and schlittler should be good aswell. Also not to much of a bold prediction but I’m guessing the card there not showing is a cub. And no packs smt seems off. A program without packs is unheard of this year.

@Pergo_MLBTS the fact this card will be free is kinda crazy. Probably won’t effect the live series price too much as he’s the gatekeeper.

@Pergo_MLBTS probably won’t be very useable for me atleast on legend the vision will probably be god aweful that’s usually where they knock Ohtani. Maybe as a pitcher if he’s a 2 way. But idk if it will be did he pitch this weekend. I don’t think he did could be wrong tho. If the card is a dh only I’m way more excited for schlittler and mune. But mune’s vision will probably also be rough.

@PAinPA_PSN those are your answers - the series were one-sided and consequently aren’t as relevant in a recap sense from a neutral perspective (Shohei being in is an obvious counterpoint to this, but he’s exceptionally popular and you’re not going to catch me complaining about them putting in a free version of a card that most people don’t have)

@Pergo_MLBTS it does - his 2025 All-Star Series card last year was a DH and it wasn’t pitchable (unless you mean they might just disregard the position on the card)

@Pergo_MLBTS yeah he’s gonna be a dh only I’m assuming they tend to do this with his mid tier cards. They save the 2 way typically for later in the year or live series. I was shocked they even made his wbc card 2 way considering he was only dh for wbc.

It means that’s the card Topps produced.
Ohtani didn’t pitch during the Freeway series, so you can probably guess as to whether this card will be available to take the mound.

It does look like Topps may have been stingy with cards over Rivalry Weekend. It looks like a few rookies got first but I assume they will be featured in Friday's Spotlight Drop.
