If it bothers you that we make posts asking for face scans but doesn’t bother you that a million dollar company doesn’t put any effort into getting face scans you’re part of the problem. Maybe if the players without scans didn’t look like Nintendo 64 characters we wouldn’t care so much about face scans. Maybe if they added the spring break out program face scans like they used to, we wouldn’t have to post about it. Regardless, it’s pathetic that they haven’t added most of these guys yet. You act like I’m asking for random players who hardly play or won’t debut for years. I’m asking for TOP PROSPECTS who debuted LAST YEAR and who debuted or will debut this year…. Cam schlittler, Nolan mcclean, Chase burns, Kevin McGonigle , Samuel bassallo , Sal Stewart, Noah Schulz, bubba chandler, Mac Clark, and drake Baldwin aren’t just some no name players. Baldwin was the rookie of the year !!!!

Could it be a rights issue? Sure.
Could it also just be SDS being completely lazy and not even trying anymore like basically the rest of their game? Sure.
Both are very logical guesses. Idk why we all have to team up on OP saying it’s not SDS’s fault, when it very well could be. We just don’t know.
I don’t think SDS should get the benefit of the doubt with this game. They have slacked off with every aspect of this game compared to previous years and with their lack of communication and transparency, they don’t deserve people defending them anymore.

Well guess what! OP has made so many posts I can't even count at this point. He literally just complained that SDS doesn't have Patrick Bailey on the Guardians, and goes bananas because of that and calls the game "awful". If somehow one aspect of the game ruins the game, there is something wrong with you.
So, stop pandering for a person who's main language is Complainese.

Then you should stop defending a company that doesn’t deserve it for things we don’t even know the answer for. Just blindly giving them the benefit of the doubt.
Yeah, some of the complaining and exaggeration saying it ruins the game is a little much, but SDS could also just be more transparent and communicate with their consumers like they used to and maybe people wouldn’t have such an extreme reaction to what many think are little oversights.
This isn’t just about face scans or Patrick Bailey. This is a buildup of SDS becoming more and more lazy and communicating less and less.

@SaveFarris_PSN so 4 years ago was the “Wild West” again stop making excuses for SDS when you have no idea what you’re talking about. You all have a different excuse of why they can’t get scans but I continue to prove you wrong !!! I’ll stop when someone from SDS tells me why they can’t get face scans…. Go look at the show 22! 4 years ago they were all in the game before they even debuted!

It's shocking how majy prospects don't have face scans. I refuse to believe all thos players don't want to be scanned. They probably got a lot them scanned at spring training and haven't bothered putting them into the game yet which is very frustrating.

I have to disagree with y'all.
It has little to nothing to do with 'player consent'. Although it's absolutely true that players must give consent to use their likeness, it's not the reason for the lack of face scans.
#1 SDS is not constantly sending out employees and equipment to ball parks to get the scans of all the missing players. I'm certain it's too costly and time consuming to do so. Therefore, scans are done in set locations. Which leads to ...
#2 Player apathy. They just don't care enough to make a special trip to go to SDS and get the scan done. If they were there, at the park or somewhere convenient to do so, I'm sure they would. But they aren't going to go out of their way for a vidya game.
Would you if you were a ballplayer? If you owned a video game company and knew the exuberant cost and logistical difficulty to set up a team at every MLB stadium for scans and knowing that it just isn't financially feasible to do so, would you do it just to appease a few players who are that particular about faces? Of course not, there far greater issues in this game than lacking face scans. Cheating, marketplace bots frame rate drop, content issues, gameplay issues, server issues, app issues......
And by the way I don't really understand the anger about face scans anyways... I'm paying close attention to the pitchers release point and ball coming out of his hand not the players' face. Especially the batter's....

I'm not angry, I'm just trying to explain to those that are, the reasons not everyone is getting face scanned.
However, I can empathize with those that are upset. The CPU generated faces are complete junk.
Back in the day, when playing any video game that allowed you to use a player creator, myself and friends used to use the 'maximum face' method. You would set every single slider to full. You would end up with the most disturbing looking creations possible. This is what a lot of the generated faces look like. This is why some people are so upset.

@fubar2k7_PSN if that is your opinion that is cool, but most people would say what the game looks like is a big part of gameplay quality, especially a game that is largely about the players. I'm with you I want other parts of the gameplay to be better too. I'm just saying I think this aspect of the game is important to a lot of people and it seems like it is being neglected, so it makes sense for people to go after SDS about it. Just wondering, what parts of the gameplay do you think should be better?
I could go on forever but I think foul ball rates are asinine. They’re double real life games. The game has an incredibly high amount of action with 2 outs for the me and the CPU and none with 0 or 1. I play DD and franchise so I don’t play with the sliders but use Dynamic Difficulty. My pitching is out of the 1910s and offense is ridiculous or stagnant depending on what day of the week it is.
There was a time they didn’t do anything with player models at all once the game launched. Clearly before it was out for other consoles so for me this is not important. Pre-existing save files don’t get the updates anyways. They are there for players he named but to get them you have to start a new franchise at each new scan for the younger players or don’t play until all the scans are done.
