Real question

Every year is the worst edition if you read all the threads.

This is slightly better then 18 mind u I didn’t care as much about 18 I was still playing real ball was still in school playing a lot more casually. So personally to me this year is worse. But that’s probably the fact that I’m not working playing real ball anymore or in school and I play much more and notice every micro detail.

Not even close to the worst for me. I didn’t make it through the second inning in the HR/9 year and Foul tip year.
I just miss grind only cards you couldn’t buy and had to earn. The rest isn’t even noticeable for me. I woulda went all year and never noticed the 20 card limit.
I know the silver wheel is just a visual glitch. The tactics to get stubs from people has always been there. For me it’s just the content that kills it.The other problems are meh even with cheaters. This game isn’t an E sport, it’s ONE button and you don't even need to press it to catch. If you wanted to go pro and make money you picked the wrong game a long time.

18 was one of my favorite years. One of the few years I didn’t feel like there was nothing to do. This is the worst year for me. This game keeps going backwards.

I've played '09 and 23-26.
Flashbang '24 was pretty bad until the All Star break. I'm wondering if this game won't have a similar trend.

Grind only cards that were useful were the best by far.

I’ve also noticed that the “Show guy” that normally monitors this forum and replies has been noticeably absent.
That's Joe, he does what he can...but the absence of liasing with the community is typically what Companies do when they know they've made a poor product. I don't blame him really.
I have to believe that all their resources are being devoted to the mobile game.
Probably right...but I'm still struggling to find any posts anywhere where there was demand for a mobile game. Poor planning on SDS' part...but not nefarious, you're right.

Not the worst year, not the best year. Im a veteran of sports games, and this one still gives you SO much more "legit no money spent content" than all the others. I like the timed events, just dont get having "dead space" between events. BR and TA are sadly ignored. Myltiplayer needs a wheel.
Most of all, the game needs a Team Builder mode - where you can construct and play with themed teams (and those teams in turn help your other cards). Cause right now you just have no reason to use most cards you get.

This is a massive ball drop on SDS' part, not sure what their logic was with that one...especially with the content lacking.

Haha yep, this! According to this forum every year is the worst ever, every year the game is dead, every year players are leaving for good, every year the game is rigged against them...and everyone will be back again next year saying the same thing.

I am older then most and have been playing The Show since the early days. I love the game, for the most part have been a offline gamer but I do play online. I always go for LS 1st and then all other sets 2nd. I am about 6 or 7 away right now. I always hit the burnout around late July to mid August, and always come back around Feb the next season. This year is different for me, coaching 10U baseball takes time away from playing. What has really deterred me this year is the bots in the market, and the amount of online driven XP rewards. The online hitting is something I cant stand anymore. Pitching side, using good pitcher like Skenes, crochet, etc...and watching them get smoked while mixing pitches doesn't make much sense. Mini seasons has been fun but even the hitting has become inconsistent, scoring 16 runs one game and 2 the next in 9 inning games is just not worth the time. I will continue to play, mix in Diamond quest and Showdowns. I may not make it to July this year.
