Yep, I totally agree. Huge ripoff. Skenes was my best pull too. Still missing 12 of the live series diamonds including the big 2.

@TripleH-4481_PSN - totally agree and tough call. My stub bank at the moment is healthy, but burning it all on one card is tough.
I still need a lot of the high end guys also (Witt/Jose Ramirez/Alvarez/Skubal/Soto/Lindor) so might hold off.
I expect Lindor to at least drop in price after the update.

I suggest always finishing collection as soon as possible because after that you don't have to look at their prices anymore.

Do we expect their prices to rise or fall after the update?
If you had enough stubs to buy either before the update, would you do it?
Just a guess but I would expect a jump in price on both those cards after the update today as people cash in “investments” and become flush with stubs. Even with the 20 limit there are going to be alot of extra stubs in the market right at 3pm eastern.

They will rise. I’m not sure how high as most people are not going to make the same volume of stubs as year’s past but they will rise. Yesterday Ohtani was at 760k at noon. So just watch and see. Last year everyone jumped, but Ohtani was also artificially capped early on so his historical data from a year ago is skewed.
We will see if the 20 card cap is the magical elixir everyone hopes it is.

Of the cards you need I agree with @onix_savage22_psn that you should get Yordan as he likely goes 90+. -
Ohtani and Judge should be capped at 500k. I think it would make majority of player base happy. Ohtani and Judge prices continue to upset people. I won’t even mention 90+ diamond pull rate.

Locking them in is more than one card. Essentially it means getting also their team collection card and more than likely division card also. But I agree I am not paying that many stubs for the cards and would most likely sell ohtani if he’s 600k stubs or more.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN not capping them while capping card limits shows you what they truly want: for you to buy stubs. It doesn’t matter what they say, look at what they have done.

Lots of packs will be opened today which generally brings prices down, but lots of stubs will also be made from the roster update. Hard to say. My guess is they go up in the short term, a day or 2, and then go down some. Wait for a flash sale.

It would make them impossible to acquire and there would be a 1,000+ waiting list for the max price.

I think this is spot on. They go up in the short term and then back down.

That isn’t what happened last year. They spike then plateau, but not as far down as before the RU.

I could be wrong, but there is usually a spike in the market with the influx of stubs from investments people have made. Roster updates are great to make stubs but it causes inflation. Obviously if they drop some flash sales or live diamond packs in the inning program that will throw things off. As others have said finish live series by getting the most expensive first and then worry about everything else after. LS unlocks the rest of the game and then build the team how you want it.

Their prices going up after the roster update hopefully shows SDS they need to go back to having a stub cap on live series players like in past years. Ohtani being 800-900k is a joke, judge being 600k is worse.

This. 100%.
They don’t care about the player base. 100% not filling out another survey, SDS does not care. We are all saying the same stuff and sharing the same displeasures and they a knowledge nothing.
