Why is it so hard to complete the innings?
-
A lack of content.
TA wallpapered over this issue in innings one, but innings two has exposed the fact they have slacked off badly with content.
Not nearly enough content, and what we got wasn't nearly as rewarding as last year.
I hope this is addressed in innings 3.
If not, it does not auger well for the future of the mode.I'm still thinking that JR day and 3 spotlight drops weren't the plan for the first 3 weeks of inning 2,cityscapes and the Thursday program were supposed release a week or 2 ago and something happened to delay it, of course we won't know for sure cause they didn't release any info but that is what I think happened.

Anyone know why those 2 dreary-looking cards in the path are both RedSox? The first one did nothing for me during Bosox TA! I just got Doerr, but he's slow as molasses!
I've always made at least 1 wheel spin. I may miss the first two. Incredible. -
I think they are experimenting to see if people will actually buy both bosses instead of just one. In other words they don’t intend for people to finish the path. Anything to squeeze out extra stub sales at this point as I’m sure they already know this game is going to fall off harder and earlier than usual.

I've played every day, every weekend, had both bosses for the boost and I'm still 140k xp away from 500k. This is ridiculous. Casual gamers and people who hold full time jobs can't even finish the inning programs anymore. All it has done is make me not even want to play anymore. It seems like an impossible task and a lot of time wasted for nothing. What has this game come to?
Sounds like it has to do with how you're playing. Maybe mix up your team so you can double dip into TA and TA#1 fan stuff. I've played way less 2nd inning and have had the path complete for a week before this double xp weekend that I have to work during.

What are you talking about?
There was no TA in inning 2. There will never be TA again. #1 fan has no xp.
-
Sounds like rhyno didn’t do much of the TA program in the first inning and that was his crutch for inning 2.
Guessing those of us struggling for XP right now finished most of if not all of TA during inning 1 so now there is no content for inning 2. If this isn’t the case for him then like you I have no idea what he is talking about.

In game XP being pitiful doesn't help, the XP rewards themselves in the paths are not enough. Normally, personally I can usually lean on the MP path to pick up anywhere from 50k to 100k extra XP, but with some of the missions being event or BR based (both modes I actively TRY to avoid because of the WAAC players), that's been tough. Yeah I could play solo ranked online more, which is a fair argument...but the rewards in the Inning paths just aren't worth the frustration.
-
I feel for everyone. It's definitely lack of content and no love for offline gamers. I play everyday and I play a lot and I'm still not done with the program. This past Friday's drop took nothing more than a few hours to complete and by Sunday there is nothing to do again. Repeatable conquest maps where only the final reward is available just doesn't cut it, a long grind through Diamond Quest ro MAYBE get the reward is garbage, and repeating mini seasons is boring. Oh not to mention TA has been done for weeks.

The only thing that makes sense (to me) is that they devoted all their resources to the Mobile game going live this Inning.
Don’t like that, but explains it anyway….

I don’t know that it’s that tough , maybe a bit tougher than last year, but i finished the xp path in mlb as well as the one in nhl simultaneously, and i work full time with a wife and kid, I’m guessing some of the people that don’t finish it either just play just offline or hust online, if you play both it’s very doable.
-
I play a ton, and I just made it this weekend (the 20k xp from finishing multiplayer put me over the top). Normally I would have had a bunch of wheel spins... meaning a bunch of 5 packs.
-
It definitely took me longer than the 1st, but that was because of TA in the 1st inning. I got the boss pack on Saturday and it wasn't too bad.
-
One thing I will say, just play your game and they will see the stats that people aren’t completing the innings. Content has been awful this year. I really hope they see our complaints and see that people are struggling. Until this year I would finish the inning every time. I’m only halfway done. I have no chance. There is his big enough to do as an offline player to get there.
TA needs to be reinstated the way it was a few years ago. 1 huge program path for each division loaded with packs, XP and stubs every 6 weeks or so. The missions should be repeatable. Pitching hasn’t acrued me progress in several weeks.
-
Was poorly thought out people didn’t notice it as much in first inning because ta gave so much xp.
-
They have had a TON on content ..... in the show shop
I get that is what DD is about and online players or primary online players should have an advantage but not to the point where we are at right now. I would say SDS needs to learn this but as mentioned in another thread they are running the MLB the show playbook ( content etc ) and then they will come out and give the BS line of --" We heard the fans etc etc " and adjust XP in terms of rewards etc
-
There’s no entitlement that a “casual” player deserves to get to 500k XP. You seem to either be misusing your time on the game or simply not playing enough. I play most evenings for a bit and I’m at 444k and I’ve had some vacations away in there.
This sounds like a car salesman who only works 1 day a week and maybe isn’t the best complaining that he can never win salesman of the month. The people who put in real time and are good get rewarded with stuff. The good thing about the Inning rewards is that you can buy them if you really want and don’t have the time to put into it. -
Both can be true. Last weekends content was solid, but it was a desert before that. Team Affinity doesn't get love - I think they've decided people don't play it enough, so theyre not gonna care about it.

Your playing right into SDS cause unless you get very good RNG from packs chances are maybe not you but others buy stubs to do what you just said ( I did like a 5k bundle ) last time around to be able to buy the other player or maybe both for some.
-
@tear4eddy_PSN It kinda sounds like you just really wanted to use a car salesman analogy where it didn’t fit or make sense. You play everyday and aren’t there, I’m not sure you are the one who gets to hand out XP gainer of the month and the prize that comes with it.
Or we can all listen to a guy who played everyday, didn’t finish, and is glad. Any other amazing ideas? Maybe when we pack a card it only goes to the guy who’s packed that card the most that month?

They've 'phoned it in, it seems.'
