Pack odds - there is no reason for them to not be accurate.
-
@ryguy034753_XBL 5 years worth son and not even close to the most.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN as I said this is a video game, it's just coding.
I also asked you not to reply to my posts anymore because you seem to love to be devils advocate about every topic.There’s a difference between being the devils advocate and correcting factually incorrect assumptions. You clearly don’t know how odds work, and you were called out on it by about five different people.
-
@JDHalfrack_PSN you clearly don't know that this a video game. This isn't a coin, yes I'm aware of how odds work with a physical item. This is video game code, what are you not understanding?
I dont know if you're aware but multiple video games have been sued for lying or having faulty in game odds. In Canada EA was successfully sued for lying about their odds. Valve was sued successfully for lying about odds in counter strike loot boxes.
So how do you know the odds they list are correct? How do you know they aren't lying about the odds? I personally have not had anywhere near the odds they list and I normally wait to open my packs til I have around 100 of them.
I dunno about you but I'd rather not have gambling. Just give me 1 diamond every 50 packs like it says.
-
@ryguy034753_XBL what I think you’re asking for is the pity mechanic that some gacha games have, which, yeah, would be nice
-
I cannot really hate on the op for feeling this way. Especially when we have cheats grinding thousands of packs using mini seasons mods to play mini seasons for them. I think we are missing it. Maybe pack odds should be better. Thousands of players are getting free packs now for cheating and doing nothing. We have a monster sized issue now. This will turn alot of players away.
-
Go play gatcha games then and wait for the pity timer or bad luck protection. SDS publishes their odds, you can choose to play along or not. Btw, to get a true feel for whether the 2% published rate is accurate, you’d need to open and track around 100k packs.
-
You clearly don't know how odds work. I opened 8 ballin packs last night pulled 6 diamonds. Sorry for screwing you over bud luck was on my side this time and not on yours. Doesn't say guaranteed x amount of diamonds per x amount of packs per IP address. It's overall odds..you got shafted someone pulled two 90 overalls out of the same singular ballin pack. It's a lottery nothing guaranteed
-
It’s bold to assume the only working part of the game is the odds in packs.
-
Going 20 ballins without pulling a diamond is a 25% chance. Not great luck, but the rant is not justified for that
-
If you want to say odds are too low, I'll support you all day. Packs are not really "gambling" in this game, because noone would go to a casino with these odds. We all know the house gets an edge when you gamble - but the edge can't be this big, or its silly
-
Ok SDS is the greatest most competent gaming company of all time and they would NEVER screw over the people buying their games to make more money.
Just the same as valve, EA, and several smaller gaming companies would never do that... oh wait they did do that.
-
I'm so tired of EVERYTHING these days being gambling.
AMEN! Tell it, brother, tell it!
Think on it this way, what would the reaction be if the team that won their fourth game of the World Series was -- vice handed the big trophy -- was instead invited to "spin the wheel of trophies!"
Oh tough luck guys! You win a case of oranges! Better luck next time!
Here is the way it should be ... for any DD competition, either online or versus the CPU, there should be one card, or at least one level of card, that is advertised as the reward. Win the competition, you get that card. No games, no odds, no controversy.
Simplicity has a value all its own and yet SDS seems obsessed with hiding everything behind odds that may or may not even be accurate. SDS has morphed Churchill's description of the Soviet Union -- "a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma."
-
@ryguy034753_XBL
You can literally see the odds for pulling every single individual player from every single pack in the game. SDS could not be more transparent about what is in their packs -
@ryguy034753_XBL They would not lie about odds because if that was proven true, it's a lawyers dream. It would not only bring fines, but more scrutiny to packs/gambling in game. No company wants that.
-
@eatyum_PSN you are so gullible.
-
@ryguy034753_XBL Don't know why politics is brought in, but I'm the just absolute complete opposite of that.
-
@ryguy034753_XBL said:
Just give me 1 diamond every 50 packs like it says.But that's not what it says. It says the odds of pulling a diamond in each pack is 1 in 50, which means you have a 2% chance of pulling a diamond each time you open a pack.

@ryguy034753_XBL When you go to the casino, do you get mad when the slot machine doesn’t hit too?
