I see both sides...It would be nice to know what difficulty you’re playing on from the first pitch. That being said anytime anybody would give their opinion on here there would immediately be 5 people saying “You’re only 60-45 and in WC, Nobody cares what you think.” Then that would lead to fights. That’s the problem.
Yeah but isn't that valid? I'm WS level and it's hard for me to know whose opinions to value because you have people saying, "this card rakes" and you don't know if they're grinding conquest on rookie or playing 1100 level unless they tell you.
I agree to an extent. You obviously don’t want to take the opinions of people who have yet to touch HOF difficulty. But at this point the way the game plays I think records are really misleading. I’m struggling to make it out of wild card right now but all last year I was a CS player and made World Series a few times. My win percentage is not even close to what it usually is right now. I think all star difficulty is way too easy to hit. I’ve outhit my opponent in almost every single game I’ve played on all star yet this ranked season I’m only 2 games above .500 with every game being 11-10 or something ridiculous.
Just know your not alone, started on 700, and then fell into all star hell. I’ve been bouncing back and forth from Like 580-680 since it started, trapped in purgatory. It’s too easy to hit with the giant pci and the rng makes way more pitches hang in all-star. Contact swing literally extends out of the zone like a half a foot for fouling. It’s really hard to get someone out, they can sit heat or off speed and just wait out til you hang a few, which you know is going to happen. I stopped caring about my record, it’s still above 500 but with all the fielding c.rap and the all-star hell, I don’t even care. I just play to have fun now, win or loss , and take the good w the bad. I just wish we could agree to hof difficulty, if both parties don’t agree than you default to whatever the rank is

Wouldn’t a better solution be to just have the game (during the lineups screen) say what level the game is playing at? I’d much rather have an in game solution than having to look up players.
Sure, that's fine, I don't care what it is. Just want to know what I'm playing on.

Go back to letting us see our opponents ratings on this website, the game plays so different on HOF and All star we need to know what level we're playing on, this was a dumb feature to take away because some low level players got upset when people would search up their ratings.
I agree 100%. There's been times I've looked for this and wondered why I can't find it. I liked when we could look at the profile of other players. I even think it'd be cool if we could display our icons and nameplates on the forum. That would help me decide what opinions to value more than others.
Sorry. You are going to have to treat opinions on their merits and not some elitist non-sense. to SDS one of the few things they got right.

Yes you are 100% correct but based on my experience on this forum it is primarily done to shoot down the opinions who have a different experience than them. This stops the elitism that has plagued the conversations.

Another alternative would be if you matched up with someone on a lower level, you could elect to pick the higher difficulty and if the other player didn’t agree to it, it would close the game sessions as a friendly quit. This would be pretty cool across all game modes so that if people wanted to play BR/events on those higher difficulties, they could.

the game should just tell you the difficulty at the loading screen

That's a healthy attitude Max. I would def prefer Hof+ as it's the more competitive gameplay however, like you said at the end of the day just have fun...these RS games are 40+ min a pop barring a ragequit...it's astounding how many ppl grind thru these games hating life.

It would be nice to play on the higher ranked difficulty instead of the lower but that will never happen.

I mean it takes like 1 batter to realize what difficulty you're on
And when you're the home team? I don't want to play on all star, people aren't as accepting of friendly quits after that first batter..

The game should just have a matchmaking option that says I want to play on "this" difficulty. Period. Shouldn't be that hard.

I agree. You should be able to make WS playing on any difficulty and match make based on difficulty chosen independent of difficulty. In this way, you can play at whatever difficulty is more fun. Maybe with the ability to earn more points with a higher difficulty win. If it’s about competition it won’t matter the difficulty as long as it is the same as the opponent and equal playing ground.

You should be able to make it to world series only playing on veteran? Bad take..

Yes, because it makes it more accessible to more people and you will be playing on veteran vs a higher caliber player AND playing on veteran won’t yield as many pts in a win so it will take longer.

Why do you think this? Remember World Series is supposed to be for
The best players not to cater to you casuals who think everything should be given to you -
If a player A beats player B it isn’t determined by difficulty level. If player A loses to player B it will happen on Veteran or Legend difficulty

It's the highest level in the game.. it's not supposed to be accessible to "more people" no higher caliber player is going to sit and play the game on veteran.. This is a really bad take

Disagree if the rewards were properly attributed to a particular difficulty. Veteran WS? Rewards appropriate to that difficulty (read: low). Legend WS? Rewards appropriate to that difficulty (read: high).

You shouldn't be able to get to world series on veteran or all star, I hadn't thought about that, but there has to be some way to make it doable.
I'm thinking more about you guys, I'll never be good enough to get to 700 consistently.
