@rubicante23_PSN 500 really isn’t a lot. I remember recently when we had a 1 million inning/season. The problem is a complete lack of things to do that give us big chunks of xp.
Yeah. The amount of XP needed is kind of irrelevant. It is the opportunities to earn that XP that is more important
Just a quick gander. I believe the inning programs last year needed less total XP
The Egg Hunt Program in 2025 awarded 35K. This year it gave 7.5K
Jackie Robinson Program in 2026 awarded 35K. This year 10KJust a quick google showed that the Boss packs last year for inning 3 were at 245K and 400K. This year, if you want to call Bobby Doer a Boss then that is earned at 275K while the actual Boss pack is at 500K
So, last year if I only wanted one of the cards in the boss Pack I could grab it at 245K while this year if I want to earn Randy or Babe I need to get to 500K. So more than twice the XP needed to earn one of the packed Boss cards while the programs I mention above are earning you 1/3rd of the XP from last year

Something we can all agree on - stop giving individual show packs as rewards in the inning path. Those should be egg hunt or Jackie packs or something - one show pack is silly, thanks for the nickel grandma

This is extremely telling of what SDS is doing and it stinks. Classic overcorrect on their part and if not rectified quickly it’s a deal breaker.

Here is the problem, people complained the last few years about too much content. People have lives, kids, Girlfriends, etc, "HOW CAN WE COMPLETE ALL OF THIS?!?!?"
This year they said they listened toned it down...."WHERE IS THE CONTENT?!?!?!"
There is a lot of things SDS got wrong this year, content isn't one of them.
I agree with that but they seemed to swing to the extreme polar opposite, there needs to be a consistent happy medium for content. If they do shorter programs and the such they need to drop more of it, maybe once, twice weekly. OTH I get the position SDS is in your damned if you do and damned if you don't.

@Dolenz_PSN I think they want to make it take longer to get the boss pack. The problem with that is most people will end up falling short unless they bombard us with chunks of xp on Friday.

@GoozeFn_PSN that’s the charitable explanation. the cynical one is that they actually want fewer people to complete the path to reduce the supply of the bosses - I imagine a lot of people are a Randy away from the 2HH voucher like I am, for example

I don’t believe that was the case last year. The cards given were quickly QS value only. And prices in the AH were similar to this years.

Content is a problem this year. When it can’t be earned and has to be bought in packs to put towards collections that is NOT content.
Aside from the WBC and TA at launch content has been abysmal.

I feel like this happened at some point either last year or the year before to, and they saw that people were struggling to get to the end of the inning path and then added a bunch of very easy XP to make sure people could get there. I wouldn't be surprised if they did something similar. They have the numbers to be able to tell where everyone is in the path. I'm guessing Friday we'll see a ton of XP available.

Man, I sure hope so. I’m about a third of the way thru this inning. No hope of getting even one of the bosses this inning. Had to buy both of them last inning. Very frustrating….

@Pergo_MLBTS This sort of thing happens every year and they take too long to adjust. I expect it’s intentional until people buying stubs dries up. Then they adjust and do a stubs sale.

I’ll add that another really SIMPLE thing SDS could do is to allow us to QS all the Diamond uniforms we are collecting from WBC mini season and TA path.
An easy 15k+ stubs for most of us. Something simple to improve game play “morale”.

@capardo_XBL Or simply give us the correct amount in packs to get all of them without dupes. Giving us all these no sell dupes is pure laziness.

Uniforms and equipment and collectibles should have more rewards to collect - you should in incentavized to get them all, not roll your eyes whenever you get one

I’m at 314k xp right now and I play the game WAY TO MUCH. I’m getting to that point a lot of people here are. I have live series up to Judge and Ohtani (surprise!). I’m the Mexico City conquest away from getting 99 Cabrera. I have 172,000 stubs.
I’m f$c&ing bored. I grind mini seasons for the dopamine rush of getting 10 standard packs and a Ballin. My rewards are the same every time. Not a diamond. A gold or double gold in the Ballin.
I spend money on the game. I’ve bought most every live series card I have that’s a diamond. That’s sad.
Packs need to be better. Ohtani and Judge costing a million stubs combined isn’t right. It isn’t. Never getting even a duplicate diamond I can sell to build bankroll to get either of those cards isn’t right either. Basically it’s gambling, but I haven’t seen a diamond in weeks, so when you don’t get that crumb, why keep on playing.
I filled out the survey and got a nice thank you pack with you guessed it….no diamonds.
Double xp is an absolute MUST this weekend. I hope there isn’t a stub sale because that will just create inflation. I wish they could juice packs or come out with free diamond pack to stimulate the live card economy. Just something rewarding for the community that continues to get base card after base card in these packs. I dunno. I’m losing interest.

Agreed. And stub sale isn’t the answer. That just cause inflation. They need to stimulate the player base. That ain’t it. They are certainly giving out double xp this weekend. Maybe for awhile. Wish we would see better packs/rewards.

Yes. Thank you! I am very tired of the 50 card collections, we'll give you 20 through programs and you either have to buy or get really lucky with the rare pulls. Without the things I've said many times, there just isn't a way to make stubs playing the game. Playing mini seasons for maybe 5k at the end just isn't fun.

This^^^. The XP needed for a boss should be around the same that you get for going through all offline content in the inning ONCE.

5K if you are lucky. I’ve consistently netted about 2-3K on multiple runs which is why I’m no longer motivated to do it.
