There are far fewer ways to earn XP this year. Last year, we had 3 cornerstone programs per inning, and miniseason had many more ways to earn XP. If you are an offline player, it is nearly impossible to earn the 500,000 XP required to get an inning boss. Playing the WBC miniseasons gets old. Please fix this or give us a week of double xp and pxp....or maybe even triple

Well said.
It's sad that they've conditioned us to just mindlessly replaying mini seasons on a never ending loop as there's nothing else and no way to make stubs. It's ruined my enjoyment of the game, sadly.
-
@victoryphoenix_PSN You darn right.
Get 500k XP with barely any ways to earn bonus XP. And the only bonus XP is like 1k. I won't be able to get Unit (who I would have taken) and that's with saving some programs from Inning 1 for this inning. Something's gotta be done about XP.
-
I’m very concerned about the online gameplay. It’s very weird this year.
-
Dust off the double XP.
I'm at a pathetic 185K, lol.
I play HUT as well, and that's why, but release the DXP hounds! -
I dont understand the whole approach to TA. Why is only 30 required for Miggy collection? Most of us already have close to 60 - you just naturally get them, unless you're the kind of player who never changes your lineup (so you dont get some teams involved). Why is Team Affinity always so easy and short, when everything else is long and time-consuming? Why take away the grind that people actually like to do, and keep the grinds that are way less interesting?
-
tbf the collection you need every captain for will come later - I’m not a fan of the idea that you should be completely done with the TA grind for the very first big collection
-
@On_a_Power_Trip_PSN but then TA should be longer and have more to do...right now, anyone who cares is already done.

Here is the problem, people complained the last few years about too much content. People have lives, kids, Girlfriends, etc, "HOW CAN WE COMPLETE ALL OF THIS?!?!?"
This year they said they listened toned it down...."WHERE IS THE CONTENT?!?!?!"
There is a lot of things SDS got wrong this year, content isn't one of them.

I would really appreciate a response here from SDS. I created this thread because I want to see if they will listen to their community. It has stayed completely professional and non- toxic which I appreciate from everyone. I love this game and I want reasons to play. To be honest, ever since they did the voucher system for the All Star contest for TA, I have lost enthusiasm for this game. TA was the ultimate mode for offline grinding. The All Star content ended up being really easy and quick. Same with Finest.
Come on SDS- give us a reason to play your game???
-
@LIONED-33_XBL I do agree that people complain about a lot of things and SDS can’t please everyone. I never understood the too much content complaint. I have a life, a girlfriend, a step daughter, 2 jobs and I sing in a cheesy cover band. But I will never be mad that there is a lot to do.
Now, when you say content isn’t something they’ve gotten wrong, I think you miss the point of what we are asking for. I play 2 hours a day at best. Usually more like 1. I have absolutely nothing to do other than repeat mini seasons ad nauseam. What we are asking for is more ways to make stubs, gain XP, and collect cards. A perfect example- they made the US Map repeatable but made the cards non sellable. So I gain absolutely nothing by repeating the map. That is an easy fix without having to add more content.
Mini seasons is repeatable but all the big reward goals are not. There is also no reason to play a 28 game season. Why not make separate rewards or more for a 28 game season. Again, not adding anything but giving us a reason to play that way.
I am hoping they adjust and add a lot more content. And if they are doing away with TA put something better in its place.
I guess the one upside is- if the game continues to trend this way, I won’t have this as a distraction this summer and I can just do other things. Not the end of the world.
-
just do other things.
Already starting to see this happen, and honestly I think SDS just overcorrected- as they are known to do. There's definitely a good blend in there somewhere, they just need to find it

@Ericulous1_XBL 100%Agreed with everyone you said. I've now been pretty much off of 26 now for over 3 weeks other than market stuff. I actually went back to The Show 22, since I am offline only) and started playing that again, so that I can use my created player from RTTS in DD. It also has the advantage of using Sounds of the Show, which is super cool. And a ton of great rosters to download for Franchise. And no BOTS on the market! 23 is also really good for this as well now. 24, 25 and 26 have all went downhill in my opinion. Its sad to see for what was once the greatest game every (played since 2015). Hopefully one day, it will get back to that. Until then, I'll likely just wait until after the All Star Break to play a lot on 26 again. By then, hopefully it will be better.

@LIONED-33_XBL I will never understand people wanting less content. Much of the content can be done simultaneously, so even if the content builds up over time, you’re just working on more things at once. Catering to casuals is a losing strategy.

Catering to casuals is a losing strategy.
Here's the thing though...casuals are prone to impulse buys...SDS doesn't care if they stay, they just want to entice them enough to hang around for a bit get some $ from them (it's a business, we get it)
If they ever listened to the people who actually stick around for the full cycle, the game would likely be better...but they wouldn't make as much money. I don't think it's vile, or evil, or malicious- they're just watching out for their bottom line, unfortunately for us. A little tonedeaf and perhaps ignorant to the read of the room, but not malicious
-
@Ericulous1_XBL The other problem with a lack of content is a lack of ways to earn xp. They destroyed gameplay xp and now they aren’t giving us chunks. It’s impossible to finish the inning without playing online now. That’s awful planning.

"Casuals" is the absolute wrong word to use here. They are catering more to the instant gratification crowd.
Casuals are simply people that play the game as a hobby and dont take everything so seriously. It is often the journey that matters more than the destination. They are the ones who will use theme teams and non meta cards. They are the ones who enjoyed the TA grind. Most casuals do NOT want instant gratifcation.
-
@Sarge1387_PSN If casuals are going to impulse buy, why would you cater to them? That makes zero sense. Those people come and go. A smart business caters to the people who spend money on their product year in and year out. The people playing this game most of the year. More content doesn’t hurt casuals. Less content drives their most loyal customers away.
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS Semantics. There’s just no good argument for less content.
