Does anyone enjoy all star ranked seasons?
-
Gets way better at hof game feels much less rng and more the better player wins.
-
Hof should start at 600
-
@TheJeweledLotus_PSN agreed 600s are just hof level players on all star which if u get caught up in 600s it can be a blood bath to even just make 700 let alone World Series. Last season I got caught in it and it took my forever to make World Series this season I luckily crused thru it.
-
I've heard the HoF > All Star argument for years. Supposedly All Star has the worst RNG of all difficulties.
-
@xRatedGProdigyx_PSN hands down it’s not even close that or rookie vs cpu

-
Yes, rookie is the worst. Veteran only slightly better. I’m guessing it lessens as difficulty increases.
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN yeah all star is just annoying online offline rookie cpu which I still do beat 99% of the time tho is crazy every defender is a gold glover.
-
That, plus super dots by commons and a lot of perfect perfects right at guys for lineouts or double plays. It’s very easy but extremely annoying. My biggest issue is I’m playing more with my son and being new to the game he quickly losses interest with the non sense.
As others have stated rookie on other games actually allows others to succeed while they learn and then level up. This game is brutal for newbies on rookie and most just quickly lose confidence and say not worth it.
-
Hitting is just way too hard for 90% of players and way too easy for 10% of players. If the top players can dominate on legend it’s probably time to develop some new hobbies and get outside every now and then.
Hop on the game and dominate but don’t live on it so the rest of us mere mortals have to struggle incessantly. It’s a video game and should be fun not work. Very few people making money off this game.

I do wish at 600 you could self select HOF or All Star, seems dumb you can’t self-select at any point.
Maybe once better pitchers drop I’ll hop back on and try to get up to HOF, but right now it’s straight up not fun at all.
-
I can't quite make it to HOF difficulty in ranked. All-Star for me is such hit-or-miss. For me, it depends on the connection with my opponent.
I will say this... in the rare case where SDS has an event that's HOF difficulty... I love those. I think there was only one last year (Extreme Event?) and I loved that one.
-
Last year I got up to HOF in ranked and stayed there the whole year. It’s by far the best experience I’ve had. The grin on my face when guys strike out on pitches you dot instead of fouling off is so satisfying.
Genuinely don’t think I’ll get there this year, I think the player base is just been dwindled down to really good players. There’s not as many casuals to beat up on. Either that or the RNG is helping them.
-
I love all-star ranked, there’s no way I could ever compete at a higher level. Highest I’ll ever achieve is 500ish on a good day, and I probably belong in the 300 range at all times.
I can barely catch up or hit anything consistently on all star.
I just wish their matchmaking applied to all methods of online play. (BR, Events).
I enjoy playing people who suck as bad as I do.
-
I enjoy All-Star ranked. Once I get above that I start to really struggle, so I prefer the games on All-Star. I'm not great at it, but much more competitive.
-
All-Star for me is such hit-or-miss. For me, it depends on the connection with my opponent.
That's more or less it for me. Some days I'm tracking pitches and slapping the ball all over the field, other days it feels like I'm constantly behind everything
-
it's tough this year. I find myself so frustrated with good inputs and bad outcome. Often asking myself, "what's the point? This is a game, where's the fun?"
-
If you are wondering why ranked has extremely high competition in the 400 through 600 levels. Its because of one thing and one thing only. Its because they removed ranked grindable stat programs. Meaning there is no need for casuals that cannot make world series to play ranked anymore. Ranked is becoming like battle royale due to this one thing. This is the reason. Period. The worst decision this new staff made was removing grindable programs in ranked, br and events. Who ever made this decision at sds. You should be ashamed for being completely unintelligent. Your decision has completely lessened the online experience.
-
The original post is spot on. I find it way more enjoyable to play events and BR - Ranked is a slog, and I can't even get motivated by the rewards. I agree that HOF should start at 600 - having a 100 point window seems silly, and hof is a far more enjoyable/realistic experience. Having said that, I don't think 80 percent of players who play this game even try to play on hof difficulty (though many could do it if they gave it some effort)
-
HOF or Legend only for me on Ranked. If I play anyone good on all-star it’s going to be an absolute shoot out and it’s no fun for me because your confidence on pitchers is nearly zero and then the crappy hits come.
-
@Blaiseblaise_MLBTS that’s been me way too often. I’m raging most of the time all playing ranked so that’s my sign to just put the game down.
