I can't quite make it to HOF difficulty in ranked. All-Star for me is such hit-or-miss. For me, it depends on the connection with my opponent.

I will say this... in the rare case where SDS has an event that's HOF difficulty... I love those. I think there was only one last year (Extreme Event?) and I loved that one.

    @MarioMendoza935_XBL

Last year I got up to HOF in ranked and stayed there the whole year. It’s by far the best experience I’ve had. The grin on my face when guys strike out on pitches you dot instead of fouling off is so satisfying.

Genuinely don’t think I’ll get there this year, I think the player base is just been dwindled down to really good players. There’s not as many casuals to beat up on. Either that or the RNG is helping them.

I love all-star ranked, there’s no way I could ever compete at a higher level. Highest I’ll ever achieve is 500ish on a good day, and I probably belong in the 300 range at all times.

I can barely catch up or hit anything consistently on all star.

I just wish their matchmaking applied to all methods of online play. (BR, Events).

I enjoy playing people who suck as bad as I do.

I enjoy All-Star ranked. Once I get above that I start to really struggle, so I prefer the games on All-Star. I'm not great at it, but much more competitive.

That's more or less it for me. Some days I'm tracking pitches and slapping the ball all over the field, other days it feels like I'm constantly behind everything

it's tough this year. I find myself so frustrated with good inputs and bad outcome. Often asking myself, "what's the point? This is a game, where's the fun?"

If you are wondering why ranked has extremely high competition in the 400 through 600 levels. Its because of one thing and one thing only. Its because they removed ranked grindable stat programs. Meaning there is no need for casuals that cannot make world series to play ranked anymore. Ranked is becoming like battle royale due to this one thing. This is the reason. Period. The worst decision this new staff made was removing grindable programs in ranked, br and events. Who ever made this decision at sds. You should be ashamed for being completely unintelligent. Your decision has completely lessened the online experience.

The original post is spot on. I find it way more enjoyable to play events and BR - Ranked is a slog, and I can't even get motivated by the rewards. I agree that HOF should start at 600 - having a 100 point window seems silly, and hof is a far more enjoyable/realistic experience. Having said that, I don't think 80 percent of players who play this game even try to play on hof difficulty (though many could do it if they gave it some effort)

HOF or Legend only for me on Ranked. If I play anyone good on all-star it’s going to be an absolute shoot out and it’s no fun for me because your confidence on pitchers is nearly zero and then the crappy hits come.

@Blaiseblaise_MLBTS that’s been me way too often. I’m raging most of the time all playing ranked so that’s my sign to just put the game down.

Why I am staying in the 5 maybe 600's. I either need Ohtani or a good solid connection every game. Connection is feeling way better since I adjusted the upload/download speed. Still some issues here and there but not near as many

I’d put myself in the casual ranked class meaning I love playing ranked and I don’t mind being bad at it. I play a ton though and have a lot of time to play the game - so only speaking for myself - but the ranked program to me is totally worth my time for the rewards on the track. Takes me a lot of time to get them but it’s fun to me to play people rather than AI. It’s so much more fun, even if I get trounced.

@JenkinMeyer_PSN I hear you. But wouldnt it be nice not to have to play so sweaty every game? I think we all agree taking out the ranked and battle royale stat programs was a bad move to say the least.

Yeah I think I’d agree with that. I feel it wouldn’t be as “sweaty” if their matchmaking was better - meaning let the elite players play elite players at all times instead of letting them trounce us T-Ballers.

Make their rewards better - but letting similarly ranked players play each other makes it so much more fun for all.

That way the bunt dancers and people batting 0.400 are playing themselves instead of forcing us casuals to watch every cutscene and be generally trolled.

I put it in the survey but they really strongly need to make matchmaking better

That’s the whole point of all star difficulty. It’s not as hard as hof and you can’t still be rewarded somewhat. Why would they make its impossible on the probably the most common level people are on for online Dd.

I don’t mind it for early divisions getting started each year, but slogging from 300-700 in all star is ridiculous. world Series at 800 is perfect but hof needs to start at 600, not 700

I'm just annoyed no one throws strikes away from the corners at all unless they miss...besides me it seems. Like yeah I try and work the corners, but I'll throw one in a good part of the zone, just something I feel will throw them off. Mostly works too.

I'd really like a 3 or 5-inning mode that affects your Rank. I loathe getting into 9-inning games. Slow, lagging mess - at least if Im trapped, id rather it be shorter.

@rubicante23_PSN naaa, ranked has to be a full game. Events are good for this. But I would love a theme team event or mode where you could only select players who played on one team and go against other theme teams only. Weather it a longer reoccurring event or its own “theme team” ranked style mode. It would be a nice mixup and I think a lot of people would enjoy being able to use theme teams more.

Yeah cool idea. I only play with themes anyway but it still wouldn’t prevent the pros from dominating you if matchmaking isn’t right. The great players will slap you around with commons without a captain boost. They need to force those types into higher tiers

    But great idea
