Every other game is a cheater or bot

I played 6 battle royale games today and faced 3 cheaters or bots. It always plays out the same way. They have a different playstation id in game. After the game their playstation id is completely different. I was up 12 to 2 in the third and lost 13-12. Ive played so many i can recognize them pretty easily now. My question is are they a bot or people using scripts? Is there anything you can do to slow their hitting down?

It's scripts, SDS has (very carefully) acknowledged the problem with cheaters.

Unfortunately, not much.
Hopefully this is a wake up call for SDS to make more of the rewards attainable for "offline" grinding. It was always going to make it's way to The Show inevitably because all the best rewards are locked behind winning online- that naturally encourages WAAC types.
I'm not good enough to win the BR rewards, I know that and accept it. Also, I've got too much integrity to cheat. It is what it is, unfortunately.
