For me i feel like that Kyle Tucker is one of the most overrated baseball players in the game
Like last year he batted like 260 and that makes him get 55 million dollars a year

what are your thoughts on this

Kyle Tucker had half an MVP season in 2024 and is an All-Star or almost one basically every year. I mean, sure, you could argue he’s overpaid on this current deal, but he might still be in his prime when the deal expires so there won’t be any really bad money on it. Plus they generate so much value for money almost everywhere else.

    Few things.

    1. Defense matters.
    2. He takes walks.
    3. He was hitting at Wrigley last year. Not super hitter friendly with all the wind. (Boog’s ‘Welcome to Wrigley’ call of a homer the elements robbed him of last year was pretty great btw. I’d guess he had more than one of those.)

When healthy his consistency is what sets him apart no hes not gonna hit 50 homeruns. but he is one of those players that it’s pretty safe to say u know what ur getting. Low risk signing for any organization.

    280-290s hitter, high 300s on base, high 500s slug, 30 doubles 30 homers,90 runs 100 rbis
That's about 30-35 million( going by what they've given others)

I know. 25 was a down year, he put those above numbers up a few times and that's what a team looking to sign him would expect him to produce.

Based on any of his years, I find it crazy that he got 55 million.
My assessment says 30-35 would be market rate.

No player in the MLB is truly worth their contract.

@mhenry23_PSN by this standard the Cubs paying Alex Bregman $175 million this offseason probably won’t age well. His 2025 didn’t look too hot either, and he was a righty playing at Fenway.

Wait until you see what the Dodgers are paying the janitor to clean the stadium toilets.
Their janitor is making more money than the president.
Of course the Dodgers janitor had a better year so they ought be making more.
