Online is broken in my opinion

My online record is 1w 15 losses but still try mainly to finish online multiplayer path ,13000 away from finishing it . tried weekend classic played 2 against ws banner players so fxxk that
ps 56yrs old so reactions not as good as was

Online desperately needs some work, that's for sure. I'm not the greatest in ranked either, I'll max out around 650 on a good run...but my god man, not every pitcher needs to have outliers. Heck, I'd even go as far as to say that arcade-like outliers shouldn't even be a thing online.

Every online game is the same. Coors field with at least 7 switch hitters. Also amazed at how many people are dotting with low control pitchers.

It doesnt help when some games every swing is a home run for your oppenents. And every good contact for you is a line drive out. Game certainly does not feel fair online at times. I think it has to do with the connection. If you are playing someone with McDonald's internet expect an a s s whooping. Dedicated servers would be nice. Its literally game to game at this point. Roll of the dice.
And again we also keep telling you all nothing but sweats online because they took away all the online grinding methods.

@baconstreaky_psn you truly have my respect!! I’ve played online exactly twice in my 6 years with the Show. Won one and lost one. I frankly don’t know how I won. I grind offline and let CPU field and run for me.
Online was, well, quite an experience, when the first ball hit by my opponent, nobody moved!!

It’s broken I’ve just tried to accept it’s the game we got for the year. hopefully the power creep will make the game a little less rng. I agree lineouts are rly broken amount of 100+mph lineouts this year is ridiculous. But bloops will hopefully go away as we get better fielders. Waiting for that guy to come in here and say “that’s baseball” or “it’s always the same people” just for somebody to pull there stats and them have 5 online games played all year lol.

The game is broken and so frustrating. They need to rebuild the game from the ground up with a new hitting engine. I also think the quirks need to go because it screws up the hitting engine and timing windows even more and makes no sense sometimes

Ok i will say i am not good at online against other players but i keep on trying but if you run in to players that are hitting every single ball i throw outside the strike zone in the gaps it's getting harder and harder to keep going back to online play and not to mention how they match you up with sweaty players while i am just a casual online player.
Not sure if you are aware but you can stop your rating meter from going up. So for example for me I am usually a 700-850 rated player so as my opponent search bar rating goes up i can press left on the D-pad of the controller so it doesn't go any higher the 899. You can do this as well so that you will get matched up more often with players closer to your rating. If this helped I'm happy and you can look me up on twitch tv @rhyno86

I would play more online but I get disconnected almost every game. I play enough to get the multi-player rewards and then I'm done.

@Rhyno1986_XBL I normally do this to play at a level I can control have been getting on the unlucky side of this lately. Opponents have been much closer to the higher number then the lower one.

Yeah unfortunately you will get that sometimes. I do when I run into 1000 rates people on a skid. Then the blow me out like high school team and get their confidence back up lol.

I was feeling the same but it just took me playing a lot online and getting in the lab. This is one of the most difficult games to pick up and play online and expect to do well. High rated players are playing a lot and I am sure there are people who just have better coordination and reactions. I never blame my oponnent for destroying me, that just means I need to get better. I would rather the game hard and forcing players to play up rather than dumb it down. When we are talking about glitches (Hader) or (blatent cheaters) or (the game just going haywire) then its a problem. See you guys on the Diamond!

Have you tried restarting router? Unplug power for 30 seconds and then plug back in.
How about clearing the cache and rebuilding database on PS5?
Do you have T-mobile? Is that still a thing? I know T-mobile people used to have trouble with The Show online. Fiber?
I also uninstalled/reinstalled the game. Could have got a bad update.

I’m a decent player online, and it’s definitely much worse than last year. If I remember correctly, last year started the same way I think…
But pitching is completely useless right now. It’s just not a good balance right now.

I’ve been saying this for weeks, there has to be some pitching script that people are using, I only face dot machines with 60-65 control.

@SISCO2000_PSN what makes it the worst is the [censored] strike zone is horrible. You paint the black and it gets called a ball and forces you right into the zone
