Stop the inappropriate images in the logo vault!!!!!
-
@SDS_JoeK_PSN you see, the thing is the problem being outlined in the post hasn’t exactly been solved, as one might be able to deduce from more recent posts in this thread (or, you know, actually checking out the logo vault for yourself)
-
Again, no problems with the conversation continuing, only asking that everyone be mindful of their flags, that's all. Thanks!
-
@SpawnOfDitka_XBL um, me
-
well, people, it appears to get them to check out the vault for themselves you’ll need to start another thread. I don’t feel that strongly about it so I won’t be the one to do it - but just wanted to let you know that’s what the dev team representative in here is implying in case you miss their comments

@Dolenz_PSN While I agree that the vault is out of control with inappropriate content, they can't just clear it. Some folks have spent hours, days, weeks, months... developing logos for their teams. They are all drawn piece by piece, so clearing the vault will create a real issue.
I too, am tired of playing these types of people - and I just report them. And SDS does handle it when you report them, as I had one person finding and messaging me on a different account saying I got him suspended (how he even knew I reported him when I never had any messages with him, I don't know).
Right now they have a lot of other issues they are dealing with, and based on how things appear - SDS is significantly short-staffed. Here's to hoping they can hire more people in the future to deal with stuff like the vault, getting back to tickets promptly, etc.

I realize that this is not a fix that can be done mid-season but I had hoped when they apparently decided not to carry vault content over from last year to this year that they were actually improving the functionality.
I would never suggest a mid-season wipe.
-
@Dolenz_PSN but even then, there are creators who do logo services and expect their logos to carry over from year to year.
Maybe they just need a team that audits them and removes anything bad. Honestly they can probably even do this with AI.They just need to figure it out - even if they start fresh, they need a process that prohibits the garbage from going up there.

If I am not mistaken they wiped the vault between seasons this year. I know stadium creators were complaining that their stadiums would not carry over. If that is the case and there are indeed an average of 21K logos and 7K stadiums added every day since launch then it would require a full time employee, probably several as stadiums would take so much longer to check.
As much as it would sting creators the better option is going to be eventually to rip off the band-aid and completely redesign the vault. The benefits would outweigh the drawbacks in the long run.
Fewer files in the vaults with hopefully no duplicates would make the vault faster to search, require less space and probably bandwidth. Creators who upload great stadiums would get credit instead of people downloading one of the duplicate stadiums uploaded by hundreds of other users.
-
@Dolenz_PSN oh yeah, they did clear the stadiums. I built a pretty sweet park that was RIP(ed).
And they did that because some folks figured out a way to build some weird stadium where everything was a home run.
It's just a shame that so many people need to do these types of things...
-Break the stadium creator to put in illegal parks
-Upload inappropriate content to the vault
-Cheat in the game
-Use bots in the marketplaceIt's super sad, and all of these things have gotten out of control.

That's why one of these years they are going to have to rip the band aid off and re-do the vaults from scratch.
If I download a Stadium or a logo and I never make any changes to it then there should be no requirement for me to re-upload it. It is already in the vault. I only play offline, why on earth do I need to re-upload a stadium I downloaded just to play CPU games in it?
That would significantly cut down on the duplicates, make the vault faster and easier to navigate and make it much easier for an SDS employee to police.
-
@Dolenz_PSN I don't understand how the vault and stadiums work enough to say for certain what will help. I just worry that a lot of people will need to re-draw their logos (which takes a lot more skill than creating a stadium). Like I hired someone to do my logo - but I was able to create my own stadium.
I don't mind paying again, but very few people actually know how to use the Logo creator. So they either need to make it more accessible (in which case we'll get more inappropriate stuff again) or we are going to be overloading the only folks who can make real logos.
-
the conversation will end if you guys fix it, the only reason you're saying that is because SDS is to lazy to fix it.
-
@x2Blaze4221_XBL said in Stop the inappropriate images in the logo vault!!!!!:
There is a problem with inappropriate images appearing on the jerseys of the teams I play online. We should get this fixed because nobody wants to see inappropriate content on the jerseys. Please fix this immediately it can and will cause problems. Thanks you.
I bet that if they keep it up that Sony/SDS will get fed up and only give us generic logos in future installments
This is the logical conclusion to where we're headed.
And the reason why we can't have nice things. -
While some of the images on the vault are unacceptable, I would like to point out I have probably played over 1000 online games of MLB The Show in my life and only once have I ever seen a truly R rated logo. The people who actually use the explicit logos are few and far between

if your kid at age 15 has to be shielded from a pair of boobies on a ficticios jersey in a video game , you have raised a pathetic loser with no real world social skills , when i was 15 the things we were doing with real girls ,lol ,well then you are basically raising a sexually repressed future sociopath [censored] offender, and i am the idiot?
grow up? if anyone is being immature its you , you and your 15 year old [censored] machine whos probably burying the neighborhoods pets in your back yard by now, get that stick out of your [censored] , makes sitting so much more pleasant , what surprises me is you have a kid at all , given your ewww girl parts attitude , bet you had [censored] with your clothes on
For real you are going to attack a 15 year old kid. Truly pathetic. What's also pathetic is attacking how someone parents their 15 year old kid. What's to you that he parents that way, I say kudos to him. Parenting ain't easy and it ain't for the faint of heart especially parenting pre teens and teenagers. I have a 22 year old, that's 1 year from a psychology degree and a 18 year old getting ready to go to college for computer programming. It ain't easy keeping these kids on the straight and narrow.
-
@hoo_pharted_PSN I agree. Shielded kids end up turning out to be the worst types of adults, who are so under prepared for the real world, they end up over compensating on devious behavior in an attempt to fit in as a 20 something. 15 year olds seeing a pair of bewbs isn't going to be the end of the world.

If that's how anybody parents that's up to them, who am I to judge. But I ain't going to come on here and tell someone they are wrong on what their kid should or shouldn't see. That's none of my business. I sure as hell not going to bring in a kid into something that has absolutely nothing to do with anything besides just trying to have some fun playing the game then he gets insulted for how he's being raised. People need to keep their noses out of other people's personal life.
If you choose to raise your kids like you said in your post, go for it, kudos to you, if the OP chooses to raise his kids the way he does kudos to him. At the end of the day it has zero bearing on my life.

Stop replying to someone who has not posted on the forum in a year and a half.
It may cause them to come back.

Yikes!!!! My bad!

A users logo has absolutely no effect on me or my day.
