Mlb the Show 26 does not support 4k at 120hz

@SavageSteve74_PSN right 1440p. Turn hdr off. The picture quality without 4k and hdr is not as good. But thats the only way to be competitive

@LHUBison58_XBL thats because all star online is equivalent to legend in batting practice. You cannot replicate online play with batting practice offline vs the cpu. Get into events and play 50 straight games online vs real people if you want real practice. Event games do not go against your record. Focus on getting your online timing down. Stop playing against the cpu as much. Use the cpu to finish a program and get out of it fast! Dont sit there and play mini seasons over and over. The more you play vs the cpu the worse your game will get going back to online

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL I’ve been doing this nbp routine for years. It has always helped in the past. I know it isn’t exactly the same but I get my timing locked in quicker that way. This year it doesn’t seem to help.

Is this only applicable to online?

How about performance mode on PS5? Would that work? From my understanding that mlb the show doesn't allow you to choose performance mode over resolution mode. That you are supposed to leave it on automatic and leave it up to the game to tell the console where it should be. Any thoughts on this?

@wdc1961_PSN yes if playing online. If playing offline vs the cpu you dont need to mess with it. This games servers really struggle online because they have not upgraded to next Gen yet. Hence why some people are consistently late, because of input lag etc. So you need to bring down the resolution so that online works properly. Im hearing 1080p with hdr maybe the way to go. Im going to try that next. Because you cannot get hdr with 1440p for some reason. This game wont allow it.

Because it just seemed like alot of people I have been playing so far this year hit with such ease..and I was struggling, there had to be something i was missing. Then you see these u tubers hitting like its nothing also. They cannot be that much better than everyone else that easily.

The monitor I have at home from work only goes to 1080p. I’m shopping today for a dedicated gaming monitor. I usually only bust out the monitor in the week before Weekend classic and play on my tv otherwise.

I've got a dedicated gaming monitor and it helps a bit...but with how janky the servers are you're at their mercy, unfortunately. Playing coop the other night both my buddy and I said "how tf am I late on that?" or "the PCI didn't move" despite actively tracking the pitch and adjusting prior to swinging. Single player ranked is slightly better but not much, honestly.

Streamers are the biggest pile of cheating pieces of [censored] in gaming. Almost every elite streamer in any online game is very likely cheating. Call of Shame exposed a ton of COD streamers but most were whitelisted from the lack of integrity gaming company. I wouldn't pay any attention to the streamers. Majority are garbage human beings.

@DemIsE4_XBL i agree for the most part they are not the most up and up type of people. Some of them are good, I would say most are not because they think its better to be a u tuber then get actual careers. I would also agree alot are cheating or just figured out something we do not have access to. I honestly would not be surprised if they have a deal with sds to somehow make hitting easier for them or place them on dedicated servers to make the game easier for them. Just no way all these guys are that incredibly good if they are dealing with the same [censored] and same playing field we are all on. Then again I suppose if its your job to play this game 10 hours a day everyday, you get pretty good at it

Never underestimate the integrity level of streamers and gaming companies. Both usually very shallow.
